Ancient humans, dubbed 'Denisovans', interbred with us

Scientists say an entirely separate type of human identified from bones in Siberia co-existed and interbred with our own species.

The ancient humans have been dubbed "Denisovans" after the caves in Siberia where their remains were found.

There is also evidence that this population was widespread in Eurasia.

A study in Nature journal shows that Denisovans co-existed with Neanderthals and interbred with our species - perhaps around 50,000 years ago.

An international group of researchers sequenced a complete genome from one of the ancient hominins (human-like creatures), based on nuclear DNA extracted from a finger bone.

Ok...if they bred with our ancestors, they ARE our ancestors; so WE are THEM.

LOL - very good.

Lucy must then have some distant cousin to be found.

I bred with a banker named Denise, but that was only about 20 years ago and nothing came of it.

So which one of these "breeds" came from apes??

Why is it that the apes are always picked on as being the bad guys in the lineup on the great tree of life?

Heck, squirrels are smart. They build houses. Apes don't build houses. Maybe we came from squirrels.

“A descendant of the Denisovians”

There have been a number of postings in FRs recently using this term sourced through web media outlets Yahoo, BBC, etc most refering to Siberian cave dwellers in I assume Denisovia Russia. Wherever the hell that is.

The problem with interpreting any scientific data particularly from an MSM source is that . too often MSM stresses the source’s conclusions or inserts their own (the reporters) assumptions instead of simply reporting the basis of the discovery what the paper or publication is reporting about as a conclusion not as an assertion yet to become a fact..

An asumption based on a singular event or even multiple “scientific” observations does not make it a scientific fact....That not only includes “Global warming” but “Our origins” as well.

I was thinking in the same line....Darwin wasn't taught in schools until the civil war. I'm sure it wasn't taught with the same fervor (hard fact)as it is today except in certain circles. It was a theory.....God was alive and well.

Global warming is bascically the same thing....discounting God as Master of the Universe....AND AGAIN....TAUGHT IN SCHOOLS.

We can't even begin to know the universe about us and how it operates. We are grains of sand in the expanse but we're certain we each have a role...to take care of each other and do good things.

We have yet to "guess" the real temperature of the day ahead yet we can predict the temperature of the earth 100 years hence??

Denisova Cave, in the Altai Mountains. It really was named for a Denis.

That’s a squirrelly theory that apes Darwin’s.
