Herald poll currently (Dem candidates only I guess)
Who do you think will take on U.S. Sen. Scott Brown?
10% - Robert Pozen
28% - Vicki Kennedy
27% - Mike Capuano
2% - Alan Khazei
17% - Stephen Lynch
7% - Barney Frank
4% - Therese Murray
4% - Setti Warren
Khazei and Capuano were candidates in last yr’s Dem primary, along with Celtics co-owner Steve Pagliuca, who spent the most and finished last. Coakley of course got the nomination.
Who would face Brown in a poss. Republican primary?
Jeff Perry? (ran for 10th & lost, scandal in past)
If a more conservative candidate could be found,
would they survive the final? This is Massachusetts.
Replace one liberal with another liberal.
What does it matter?

What we need is a conservative to support.

Makes no difference which Dem runs against him, Brown is finished. The seat will go back to the Dems, sure as the sunrise.
We elected Scott Brown hoping for a conservative, or at least a Republican.
Judging by his voting record, we got neither.
And in Massachusetts, it doesn’t matter which Dem runs against him. Not at all.
