A black father has been sensationally pardoned for the racially charged murder of a white teenager he claimed was part of a ‘lynch mob’ that stormed his home.
John White, 57, was freed after serving just five months of a two-to-four-year prison sentence for the shooting.

In my part of the country if you go with a mob over to someone’s house looking for a fight you should expect to have a gun pointed at you, perhaps discharged in your direction.
Reminds me of the Ossian Sweet case of nearly a century ago. Something similar also happened on Long Island a few years ago. The level of hate on the LI newsgroups at the time was disgusting.

But Paterson should also have freed Plaxico Burress who got 2 years in jail for shooting himself in the leg.

I now see that this was the White case I had alluded to. It’s amazing how “tribal” lower middle class whites on LI can get when one of THEIR own is taken out, in this case quite legitimately. NY and LI/NYC are police states when it comes to defending one’s property.
Patterson is a racist, the murderer is a racist, and you are siding with them because they are black which makes you a racist and an idiot.
Condeleeza Rice is a supporter of gun rights because of exactly this kind of issue.
If you don’t know the details on this case then perhaps you should learn them before commenting. If you do know the details and you still think that what this murderer did would be legal where you live then you are a moron.

You’re ok with a racist murderer serving just five months for unlawfully taking the life of an unarmed young man? I’m trying to think of a reason for you feeling this way that doesn’t involve stupidity, racism, and ignorance.
Imagine people who think they are intelligent, free-thinking conservatives who have been conned by the leftists into accepting and excusing murder so long as the shooter is black and claims racism. Imagine these racist, suicidal idiots bathing in self-righteousness while the leftists cackle behind their backs.

My son was threatened on Facebook with murder in very graphic details (as in, how they would do it and how they would dispose of the body). In addition, there were humiliating taunts. My son is in high school, but is shy and the “new kid in school.”
We went to the police who would do nothing. We went to the school and they said “Boys will be boys” and the father of the poster is a prominent attorney and “nice guy.”
Should I go the parents’ house to speak with them? Suppose he feels “threatened” and shoots me? My point is that the police and school will not respond to death threats and I will face criminal trespass charges if I confront the parents (or worse).
Of course, we will end up withdrawing our son and home schooling him. But our society has deteriorated to the point where teenagers can taunt, humiliate and try to drive a kid to suicide, yet the parents just have to stand and take it. In other words, the perps get away with it and my son has to quit school.
My wife wanted him to be home schooled anyway. But it was the school’s “Boys will be boys” that really pi$$ed me off.
And no, he is not gay if that is what some of you are thinking.
This wasn't self protection. It was murder. The shooter was a racist hot head who wanted to kill whitey and did. You defend him thinking this demonstrates your own moral worth. The truth is you have been duped into this attitude by evil leftists who are running circles around you and laughing at you behind you back.

I do know the details but this thread is more interesting without them in that it shows how readily self-styled "conservatives" hasten to burnish their "non-racist" credentials at the expense of rationality, truth, and morality.
