Was there really a consultation?
When? How? Who were consulted of this idea?
My wild guess: TPE consulted CNN or CNN consulted TPE first.
They didn’t consult the grassroots.
LAST TIME I CHECKED, THEY ARE NOT CONSULTING! THEY ARE PROMOTING THE SAID COLLABORATION!

Give it a rest. If the membership does not approve, then that will be the end of the TPX and you won’t have to worry about it any more. But I’ll bet they approve mightily and it will be a huge success just like all their other events have been.

When the TPX crew got up on the stage and were introduced at the 9-12 rally in 2009, over a million people cheered.
That's grassroots baby!
There are well over a thousand Tea Party groups all across this land, populated with grass roots tea partiers.
To each his own though, do you tea party work with out affiliating with anyone, you are one of the leaders along with millions of other tea partiers.
TPX is quite aware of that fact.

There were a lot of debates in 2007. 5? 10? Filled with people like Jim Gilmore and Tommy Thompson and Sam Brownback.
There were maybe 10 people up there on the stage. Way, way before most people were paying attention.
2011 is shaping up to be about the same as 2007. The first debate is about 4 months away. This coming April or May. This tea party debate is just one of many debates months before the first vote in the first primary or caucus.
No, and they haven't even announced the Tour yet, but gave me permission to mention it on the www.

I’m not twisting anything. I’m asking questions.
I’m questioning the logic of the activity on the perspectives of the grassroots. I’ve been roaming around TPE to find how they arrived with this plan, whether they have considered that pros and cons.
Please note: It’s a DEBATE. And we need to be careful about it. Everything that our candidates will say or not say will be “twisted” by the enemy and held against them ... and us.
We need to be sure that TPE will really be ON TOP of everything in this event.
CNN has a history of controlling everything. If CNN doesn’t get its hidden objective in supporting this event, the entire event and even all the Tea party people will be demonized by CNN as [What’s that dirty word again?]
It's 9 months away.
I imagine that there will be several contenders chomping at the bit by that time.
It's pretty clear now that Romney (the choice of the elites/GOP IMO) Gingrich, Huckabee, Bolton (maybe) and some others are running.
In the 2008 race, On November 15, 2006, McCain announced he would form an exploratory committee. And announced 2-28-09 that he was running, a scant 2 months from now perspectively.
Feb 5/15, Giulliani; Hunter January 25, 2007; Huckabee January 28, 2007; Romney February 13, 2007---So by Sept there should be a slew of them!
The first of the 2012 season debates will be in New Hampshire:
CNN is Joining With WMUR-TV and the New Hampshire Union Leader to produce the first 2012 Republican Presidential Primary debate in the "First in the Nation" primary state of New Hampshire. That debate is scheduled to take place on June 7, 2011.
A lot will happen between now and Sept.

Well, perhaps you should go over to the Tea Party Express website or his facebook page and ask Sal Russo himself. I can’t speak for him, but I’m very grateful for the great job he’s doing and for inviting us to ride along as a co-sponsor. And I’ll thank you very much not to try to torpedo our efforts.
I can’t help but LOL about this. CNN has trashed the Tea Party movement constantly since it began, and it must stick in their craw to have to admit the movement is a serious one. I love it!!
It remains to be seen how serious CNN will be with their coverage of the debate.

You bet they will, and by MSNBC and Fox News analysts too. (And the questions also. After all they are coming from the grass roots of this great land.)
But not during the debate, TPX has control over that.
The debate is going to be about Tea Partiers questioning candidates for President of The United States.
Some of the GOP people, Rove, Huckabee, Gingrich et al are more adamant to destroy the Tea Party candidates than the leftist CNN'ers believe me!
They all are apocalyptic (is that the right word??) about anybody outside of their beltway elites getting into that esteemed office.
So also beware of the enemy "within."

The first one I have heard of is June 7, 2011 and it is billed as the first of the Presedential debates. It is mentioned in my Post #112
I just hope and pray that you’re right on this.
I know. I don’t also trust Fox News. Fox News destroyed the 2008 primaries, if I could remember it right. FNS was so biased.
I was thinking of the possibility of making arrangements with multiple local/state TV news outlets. But it’s also fiffy.
