A former Commander of mine married a Christian woman from Haiti. She belongs to a missionary group and has helped many of her fellow Haitians convert to Christianity.
I asked her about it. She said they begin with education, to build a solid foundation. They teach the locals, not just the children, to read and write. They also teach about sanitary practices, nutrition and other basic life skills.
They share the Gospel throughout their activities; but most often, Christ's love is demonstrated by their actions.
Yes, there are Christians in Haiti as well as animists.
I visited Haiti back in the 1950s, and spent about a week there with some friends, sightseeing. The people were exceedingly poor, but not obviously dangerous. But voodoo is not a good influence.
Yes, Gat..., I know you were talking about Sarah. But, just because you don’t like her, it was silly to suggest that she was acting like some kind of idiot bleeding heart liberal, or that she had arranged the trip for propaganda purposes. She didn’t even arrange the trip.
The eneMedia tried to “gotcha” Sarah by claiming she brought a hair stylist. The hair stylist ended up being her daughter.
PDS is a sad condition.
