Mikhail Khodorkovsky looks happy to me, and I understand his point of view.

Before Vlad Putin incarcerated him Khodorkovsky was a despised oligarch with violent associates. Putin has now transformed him into a martyr for Russian democracy, the Nelson Mandela of Russia. Even if he never leads Russia as Mandela did South Africa, Khodorkovsy’s place of honor in Russian history is now secure, and he knows it. He owes this great gift to Vlad Putin.

The gangster Khodo should be happy. He will be in the company of other brutes like him hopefully joined by the likes fo Berezhovsky and Soros and others who are hiding like roaches.

Don’t worry-—the Russian people will not allow more Commies to commit the horrors they committed following 1917.

Here in the US however, we have gone down the dark path of secualr socialism and are nearing a precipice.

For whatever reason you have no anger for the fascist gangsters who run Russia, only for their enemies.

For some twisted reason you are enamored of the socialist plutocrats who have no sense of morality - only their own enrichment at the expense of millions of people and the manipulation and breaking of laws.

go Putin!

He’s not yours because you know nothing about history and yet you rave about the criminal Khodorovksy.

Yeah...for people like you there are some good things about Bernie Madoff and Al Capone too.

“Who do you want to believe? Garry Kasparov.”

I’d certainly back him in a chess match. And I generally agree with his political commentary.

Kasparov needs to give up politics and do stand up comedy. That is if he ever stops going to bed with Commies. OTOH-—HE can do both.

Putin is a bigger criminal than Khodorkovsky could ever hope to be.

Putin says Khodorkovsky may be a murderer? Putin dropped cluster bombs on Georgian urban centers in 2008 and murdered thousands of innocent Orthodox Christian civilians to punish Georgia for aligning with the USA, Russia's enemy.

Boris Berezovsky personally chose the evil Chekist Putin to run Russia and ordered Boris Yeltsin to appoint him. The reason Berezovsky chose Putin is not because he is a good Christian. Berezovsky chose Putin because Putin is an evil gangster and a murderer. Putin faithfully served the evil communism of 1917 all his life. His father was NKVD and his grandfather was Lenin's cook! Putin was unswervingly loyal to communism and dedicated his entire life to enslaving his fellow Russians to than evil tyranny. He was unhappy when Russia lost the Cold War and Communism was defeated. Now he has ensured that the Russian "Federation" will follow the Soviet Union into the ash heap of history.

As usual, you are misinformed...not to mention delusional.

The Council of Foreign Relations just cannot believe that ripping off Russia is off limits to them.

CFR members Kissinger, Scowcroft, Gates, Powell, Brzezinski, Albright etc. supported Obama's new START treaty with Putinist Russia. CFR members Senators Murkowski, Lugar, Alexander, Snowe, etc. voted for it.

Explain that, genius.

These creeps you mentioned may think so but as you know Russia has still not ratified it.

Nevertheless, it means nothing really anyway. I agree with Krauthammer on this:

The CFR is not out to get Russia, in fact it's members are selling out American interests to the Russians. Kissinger has in fact created a "working group" with former KGB head Yevgeny Primakov to promote Russia's interests.

Putin only cracked down on Khodorkovsky because Putin is in cahoots with rival oligarchs. Putin has gotten filthy rich by stealing from the Russian people. He's hid his ill-gotten profits in Switzerland and Lichtenstein. Putin abolished regional elections so he could appoint his oligarch buddies like Roman Abramovich as leaders of Russian regions. You've been fooled.

NO you are baying at the moon. At a “moon” that has long set and is obsolete. We find ourselves at a crossroad and the road that Putin seems to be carving out seems rational and moral...as opposed to the corporacracy (crony capitalism) that Obama and the New order types are attempting to establish.

There is no great love between Putin and Primakov as history has proven. One principle they do share and we would do well to seek as a goal (as Eisenhower warned) is to reject and dismantle “the state apparatus with business” (Primakov)

This is insidious and dangerous. This is a policy that the US has been following for a century now and will lead to the end of any democracy that we have cherished. We are experiencing the signs of its dangers now.
