He’s going to get a lot more than a ‘four hour guarantee’...

My dad used to plow the town of Wayland. Back before it was a license to steal.

The kid has been plowing for them for the last 10 years, they are actually pretty tough on their contractors, after a small scandal or two. The kid plays it straight.

Good for him. But I still gotta drive through that crap. I hope the snowblower is up to it. And thank God for 4WD.

True 'dat! All I can think of now is Gilligan's Island theme..."A three-hour tour, a three-hour tour..."

Well if the past is prologue what ever you get I will get double, I am on a snow line. I was in Newburyport and missed the warning. I will have to check my generator in the morning.

Uggghhh! I am cold in Tampa. These Texas lows signal cold weather.

Seasonal registrations, being an excellent mechanic, and he is still fairly young. The killer is finding good drivers who don't wreck the damned things. He runs four trucks 1 1/2 pay the expenses.

It’s not just the snowfall total.

Blizzard warnings are only issued when sustained winds are over 35 mph with higher gusts and visibility reduced to less than a quarter of a mile for over 3 hours.

The amount of snow is not really relevant as the blowing winds causing whiteouts and drifting are the problem, even when the snowfall totals are light.

One of the greatest gags ever. They did in Minnesota or something, I believe. Either way, absolutely brilliant idea and stellar execution.

That picture is a living grotesquerie. Now you know how Maryland felt last winter.

Hey I'm in NY and put in a pool a couple of years back, thinking global warming would give me at least 7 months a year of pool use. Now we get an ice age! Can I sue Algore for the cost of my pool?! Now I'll have to use those fossil fuels to run my pool heater.

I was scheduled on a flight from Manchester to Philly for tomorrow morning. USAIR called last night after 10 PM to tell me it was canceled.

I need to get a generator transfer switch installed this morning and tested out as well as put up a couple of tarps on the carport.

Button-up, everybody!

Well, it's official. Blizzard WARNING for our area. Total accumulation is anywhere from 12-20 inches between now and tomorrow evening.

And yet management at the plant hasn't made any determination as to whether or not to only call in essential personnel. Shocking, really. I look at it this way--if there's a chance I can't get home tomorrow night, I'm not leaving tomorrow morning, what with the critters and all.
