Climate: Nothing makes fools of more people than trying to predict the weather. Whether in Los Angeles or London, recent predictions have gone crazily awry. Global warming? How about mini ice age?
The sight of confused and angry travelers stuck in airports across Europe because of an arctic freeze that has settled across the continent isn't funny. Sadly, they've been told for more than a decade now that such a thing was an impossibility — that global warming was inevitable, and couldn't be reversed.

A cautionary tale? You bet. Prognosticators who wrote the U.N.'s Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change, or IPCC, global warming report in 2007 predicted an inevitable, century-long rise in global temperatures of two degrees or more. Only higher temperatures were foreseen. Moderate or even lower temperatures, as we're experiencing now, weren't even listed as a possibility.

This puts the lie to the spin that “they knew” that Global Warming was going to cause Global Freezing. Only higher temperatures were predicted, in 2007. What a bunch of evil maroons.

No matter what happens, they’re “right”. And no one in the MSM will call ‘em on it.
Freezing here on the Redneck Riviera (Gulf Coast of Florida), its now 36 with a wind chill of 23. We're expecting a low of 25 but I'm not sure what the wind chill will be. Sucks to be me, I work outside with the county utilities. Better break out the long-handles.

Global warming, as a successful theory or even a politico-economic doctrine, was never really designed to succeed as such.
It's real purpose has always been to... cloud... other issues.

Yep, got 1-2 inches here in Philadelphia. But 21 degrees F is cold enough for December.

Nope, water & sewer. Here in Florida all our lift stations are above ground due to the high water tables. Still cold just the same.
