JUNEAU, Alaska (AP) -- Republican Joe Miller said he won't stand in the way of Sen. Lisa Murkowski being certified the winner of Alaska's U.S. Senate race, but he vowed to not end his legal fight over the state's handling of the vote count.

Miller's announcement late Sunday paves the way for Murkowski, the incumbent and a write-in candidate, to be officially named winner of the race.

"She is a terrible RINO but there is no question that she was the choice of Alaskans..."

She is NOT the choice of Alaskans. We voted her OUT in the primaries. This election was stolen by fraud by Unions, democrat voters, and crooked Native association executives, whose job it is to PLUNDER the Native association investments and treasuries. THIS ELECTION WAS STOLEN.

We voted her OUT in the primaries.

That and a couple of bucks will get you a cup of coffee.

A primary guarantees nothing other than having your name on the general election ballot with the party label next to your name. Miller got that.

Not defending Murkowski, but the "she lost the primary" argument is tedious. Miller winning the GOP primary no more gave him the seat than Scott McAdams winning the democratic primary for the same seat ensured him anything.

The general election is the only thing that's relevant. Don't believe me: ask Ned Lamont.

Alaskans went for the Pork Murkowski will try to provide. Miller should not have given in. His only chance is to win this in court and be a good Senator or he is finished in politics.

We voted her OUT in the primaries.

50.9 to 49.1%. It seems many "Unions, democrat voters, and crooked Native association executives" voted in the Republican primary too.

>> repeal the 17th amendmend <<

The Alaska State Senate is run by a RAT-RINO coalition, and the Alaska State House is filled with Murkowski allies that named as House Majority Leader before she was appointed Senator. They will gladly reappoint their former colleague to the U.S. Senate. Indeed, the whole reason she became a Senator in the first place is because the process was left up to the crooked state government. It's unlikely she would have won a contested primary if she wasn't an incumbent with clout and federal dollars to hand out.

There is one legit constitutional remedy to the Murkowski virus, and that's explusion. However, I doubt any Senator would have the balls to introduce such a measure.

Neither LIEberman nor Murkowski should have qualified to run in the general election after losing the primary. They had their chance to get slated this election cycle and blew it. It would like allowing a sports team to play in a championship game for the title after they failed to make the playoffs. You don't get to have a contest between the finalists for the prize if you lost the earlier elimination round.

Indeed 09Patriot, your amendment repeal plan would ensure she survives, at least until the RINOs and rats that form the majority in the Alaska legislature are defeated and replaced with a reform conservative majority. Alaska is almost a 3 party system.

BTW back when Senators were elected by the state legs it was for 6 year terms same as now. Legislatures were NOT empowered to simply recall or remove Senators in the middle of their terms.

Anyway the witch says she’s still a Republican. McConnell isn’t gonna kick her out (he should but I can’t imagine he’d even consider it). He’ll let her vote like DIABLOS Kirk/Snowe/Collins. I doubt anything will happen to McConnell because of this. The leadership has always tolerated the DIABLO Senators.

Alaska’s loss.

No. America's loss. Her liberal votes effect us all not just Alaskans.

I don't necessarily believe her 'victory' is legitimate.

McConnell would be looking ONLY as far as the internal operations of the Senate.

What's at stake is the REPUBLICAN BRAND, and if he, McConnell thinks that doesn't count then the Kentucky state committee should prepare to kick him out ~ let him run by himself (which, unfortunately, is 4 years from now.)

Only if he ever ran for office as a Democrat. McConnell is still not a Democrat.

BTW, a lot of the criticism of him has no basis in fact ~ but there are people who just don't like him. Whether that's because he's too close to the hillbilly people, or they don't like his accent, or they think it's just wrong that his wife is Chinese, I don't know ~ but a lot of the criticism is pretty funky and strange.

On the other hand, he somehow got the idea that you can negotiate deals with the other side.

Today we don't need that and as the new Congress fires up I think he's going to find that to be the case ~ after all, nothing is going to come over from the House that's not already approved by Conservatives.

What I hope for the next two years is that Republicans take back governance of the country from the Leftwingtards who now control the Executive.

All of us should learn to count votes though.

It is the appearance of being to eager and willing to accept a compromise that gives the socialists most of what they want while claiming victory in saving a few scaps for the conservatives that annoy me.
