56 Year Old Claire Hirschkind, Alledged Rape Victim & Pacemaker Device in Chest Arrested by TSA for Refusing Pat Down

56 year old Claire Hirschkind, rape victim and pacemaker-like device implant airline passenger pushed to the floor, handcuffed and arrested for refusing to be patted down. The TSA continuing their ridiculous, non-profiling ways as they treat no passengers with dignity and respect.

Early Wednesday morning, a computer glitch shut down a security checkpoint for a couple of hours at Austin-Bergstrom International Airport. The line snaked out the door as many travelers waited for more than an hour and some missed their flights. One of the first people in line after that shutdown never made it through. She was arrested and banned from the airport.

Claire Hirschkind, 56, who says she is a rape victim and who has a pacemaker-type device implanted in her chest, says her constitutional rights were violated. She says she never broke any laws. But the Transportation Security Administration disagrees.

Hirschkind was hoping to spend Christmas with friends in California, but she never made it past the security checkpoint.

“I can’t go through because I have the equivalent of a pacemaker in me,” she said.

Hirschkind said because of the device in her body, she was led to a female TSA employee and three Austin police officers. She says she was told she was going to be patted down.

“I turned to the police officer and said, ‘I have given no due cause to give up my constitutional rights. You can wand me,’” and they said, ‘No, you have to do this,’” she said.

Hirschkind agreed to the pat down, but on one condition.

“I told them, ‘No, I’m not going to have my breasts felt,’ and she said, ‘Yes, you are,’”said Hirschkind.

When Hirschkind refused, she says that “the police actually pushed me to the floor, (and) handcuffed me. I was crying by then. They drug me 25 yards across the floor in front of the whole security.”

The TSA did release a statement Wednesday that said, “Our officers are trained to treat all passengers with dignity and respect. Security is not optional.” Now that’s rich. Maybe the TSA would like to ask 61 year old, bladder cancer patient Thomas D. “Tom” Sawyerwho they humiliated by breaking his urostomy bag.

A retired special education teacher on his way to a wedding in Orlando, Fla., said he was left humiliated, crying and covered with his own urine after an enhanced pat-down by TSA officers recently at Detroit Metropolitan Airport.

“I was absolutely humiliated, I couldn’t even speak,” said Thomas D. “Tom” Sawyer, 61, of Lansing, Mich.

Sawyer is a bladder cancer survivor who now wears a urostomy bag, which collects his urine from a stoma, or opening in his stomach. “I have to wear special clothes and in order to mount the bag I have to seal a wafer to my stomach and then attach the bag. If the seal is broken, urine can leak all over my body and clothes.”

The TSA certainly treated this 3 year old girl with dignity and respect as she screamed, “sop touching me.” Then of course there was all the dignity in the world shown by the TSA to Cathy Bossi, a cancer survivor flight attendant forced to remove her prosthetic breast during a TSA groping.

"They drug me 25 yards across the floor in front of the whole security.”
TSA ... said, “Our officers are trained to treat all passengers with dignity and respect. Security is not optional."

It all depends upon the definition of "dignity and respect." And TSA gets to define this phrase.

“The TSA did release a statement Wednesday that said, ?Our officers are trained to treat all passengers with dignity and respect.”

These TSA goons show as much respect as SS guards showed to Jews being loaded onto the trains.

When is enough enough?

On Sunday, I flew from DFW to STL. The security at terminal D were extremely pleasant and professional, the exact opposite of security in STL where they are rude and nasty. I’ll let you figure it out.

It's time to throw some TSA agents in jail.

It's time that some people start recording these sexual assuaults by TSA agents and taking the evidence to Distict Attorneys (and sheriffs and Police chiefs and grand jury foremen) and charging these agents with the state crimes they are committing.

Federal TSA agents are not exempt from state and local laws about assault and sexual battery, last time I checked.

And "I was just doing my job" wasn't a good enough excuse at Nuremburg. These people need to realize that if their boss tells them to rob a bank in their "official duties" they are still committing crimes. They need to be charged, tried, convicted and punished in accordance with local laws.

The courts ruled that the FBI agents were exempt from murdering Mrs Weaver.

A comment left after the article said they heard that the “first family” flew commercial to HI....Has anyone else heard that? I don’t believe it...they wouldn’t subject themselves to the “people’s” airlines, would they? They’ve flown by government plane every other time when they’ve gone ahead of the boss.....

Let’s see a show of hands. How many think any of this will improve for the law-abiding flying public next month when the pantywaist gutless Republicans take office?

By flying, the people are saying that they don't mind being felt up.

The solution? Simple don't fly. Stay off the damn airplanes. When the airlines and airports lose enough money, things will change.

As if that will ever happen.

That’s a stupid, unrealistic scenario that a small number of freepers keep pushing.

Keep getting groped, pawed, and felt up then. The choice is yours.

Me? I stopped flying when, in my opinion, they treated eveyone that flew as a criminal about to commit a crime.

If you like the feelups and gropes, well different strokes for different folks.

I wondered that also, and searched the net, to no avail. I did find that obamanation travelled on airforce one, and that a large staff had accompanioned michelle and daughters. Doesn’t sound to me like they would have travelled that many people on commercial airlines.... after all, it isn’t their money they are spending..

I know a way you can avoid that. Grow a beard, wear a turban, and act suspiciously. They won’t bother you then because of your “civil rights.”

I wonder why people continue to put up with this crap. It’s sickening to see what these mongrels at TSA are getting away with.

I know 1 thing that can stop it. If enough people would stop flying the airline lobbyists would step in.

KLBJ has a substitute female guest host this week, and she was on a flight during Christmas. She got the "pat down" at some airport. She made a comment yesterday about "I am a 5'4", blond, 135 lb female and REALLY don't look like a terrorist", but they pulle her out anyway. She said it was very intrusive and embarrassing.
