U.S. Arrests Iranian Member of Qods Force Working for Taliban
Weekly Standard ^ | December 24, 2010 | Stephen F. Hayes

From Afghanistan, some surprising news: U.S. and coalition forces have arrested a member of Iran's notorious Qods Force who was simultaneously serving as a Taliban commander. But sophisticated foreign policy observers have said for years that the Taliban and Iran were adversaries, even enemies – that they come from different strains of Islam and have cultural differences that would preclude cooperation? They would never work together, right?

For years we've known about the increasingly lethal support Iran has been providing the Taliban various insurgents in Afghanistan. (See here, here, here, here, and here.) And yet senior Obama administration officials have either downplayed the seriousness of Iran's support or ignored it altogether, despite a never-ending series of reports from the U.S. military that such coordination is happening.

Interestingly, ISAF officially confirmed the dual role of the captured operative, but later reversed itself. But Long War Journal's Bill Roggio has a source that stands by the original claim.

Let's hope we're not muzzling the military now, too.

ISAF rejected the claim because they intend to give him back. The way this war is conducted is a farce.

I wonder if he is an Iranian citizen - that would make a difference - or an Afghan who grew up in Iran - one of the refugee families.

When the government and the media are in cahoots against the will of the people you get the "If a tree falls in the forest ... " scenario.

——Our religions and our histories are different, but our target is the same - we both want to kill Americans——

It is for this reason that on the other side of the Gulf, there is a coalition to war with Iran and thus Al Queda. The moment of precipitation is not yet at hand but it is in process. Until the Mullah’s in Iran are ousted, no one in the region is safe.

I wish we had a good command for this battle. And I'm hoping also for the recovery of this two administration. And i know that the State of America would pass this through out this.Obama administration will think possible solutions for this, just like other national issues that US is facing right now.Like of today's,Census results lead to 12 seats in Congress changing states.

The primary target of both factions is any non-Muslim. Their 2nd priority is each other.
