If you are going to get rid of these leeches, now is the time to do it. Lots of people out there looking for a steady job. They’ll be more then happy to drive those trucks and clean those streets.
Each of the borough district attorneys should start criminal investigations immediately. Ge the union thugs and their workers under oath and find out who gave the orders for the slowdown.
...except that Obama is no Reagan.Perhaps if Governor Palin tweets about this, the new Tea Party Congress will discover their spines, and investigate this outrage RIGOROUSLY.
I have no doubt that there are plenty of people in New York City who would be happy to replace these losers.
As soon as you find out who did it, if they are an official of the union, then the city should decertify the union.
This is standard operating procedure for these POSes, and they couldn’t care less who is hurt. They’ll simply say “Put more brothers on the job” or “Give us overtime”...

Lot of finger pointing. Some are saying that the city did not want to call in the snow removal crews on Sunday night so they wouldn’t have to pay double time.
Others are blaming the union due to the plan to lay off 400 workers.
NYC -Boss Tweedy days all over again - whowoodthunkit. Corruption by the Unions - come now what isn’t new under the sun. Gee corruption is just part of the everyday politics.
Best thing fore everyone that works with the union - disband the union and all the so called pensions that will solve all NYC problems the union guys will starve in the streets and will have to eat snow.
You can all band together to clear your own cars and the block too but then what? The next block is still deep in the snow.
NYC is unmanageable when you have dems in charge.
Last month the NY Thruway had stranded motorists for approx. 20 hours.
Evidently tax money is good for nothing when it comes to services, it’s only good for ‘programs’ for the so called ‘needy’.
They tried to make it seem as if they slow pace was due to layoffs and budget costs...
They failed.

Read the story. Union bosses ordered their goons to slow down the snow removal process.
The layoff was only 6% of the sanitation department. 6% is nothing. Unions goons are busted. At least some of the thugs feel guilty about the deaths and burned out homes that were a result of their temper tantrum. Definitely grounds for manslaughter charges for those union bosses who gave the slowdown orders.
You can bet that if there weren’t witnesses there, they would have driven away! I love the way the people yell at them!
