Mayor Bloomberg says he will investigate blizzard sabotage, calls it 'an outrage' (Coverup time...)
NY Post ^ | 12/30/10 | SERGEY KANDINSKY and DAVID SEIFMAN

Mayor Bloomberg will order a probe into allegations that Sanitation Department told drivers to snarl the cleanup effort to protest budget cuts, saying this morning it "would be an outrage" if workers intentionally did not clear streets.

A democRat politician does not get elected to mayor of NYC without union connections.

GQ named this moron their leader of the year.

Bet they’re feeling pretty stupid, especially since their HQ is in NYC.

Notice that he says that he doesn’t think it was actually sabotage (he’s already made up his mind) but, he’ll investigate, anyway....

This oughta be good.

At least 2 people in Brooklyn died—a newborn baby and an older woman—because emergency vehicles could not get through unplowed streets.

Any idiot can see it is true.

When I first heard the charges I dismissed them.

When I heard people died, I looked and saw the video of plows parked at 9am with the driver sleeping in the cab.

I can’t come up with another explanation other than they ran out of gas, but they had the engine running with the heat.

It's killing King Nanny Bloomberg that the lowly sanitation workers may have hoodwinked him and crushed his presidential dreams..

He'll have to be dragged kicking and screaming to admit this.

No way this will be fully and completely investigated.

The State Attorney General and his political minions only investigate political ‘enemies’.

Like for instance Peter Cappuccilli Jr, former NY State Fair director for 10 successful years. His crime was giving his daughters a break on their wedding hall...

...but his more serious and far sinister crime was he donated and supported the wrong party.

I went to DU and read a thread on this subject. They were all excoriating the OP for furthering “right wing talking points”. Then a 1000+ posts DUer shut them all up. He said Jay Leno had played a clip of a snowplow that went down street after street, crashing into every single parked car on every one. People were screaming at the driver, but he just kept it up, block after block after block. No DUer said a word after that.

Bloomberg’s complicity in union job action that resulted in deaths is criminal. Will anyone be prosecuted, starting at the top where union mischief is condoned? Additionally, this happens in nearly every city in the US.

From the NY Times comments:

http://cityroom.blogs.nytimes.com/2010/12/30/bloomberg-says-plows-have-hit-every-street/?hp#comment-839459

Among the things I witnessed that make me feel this way:

* Sanitation trucks running back and forth along already-plowed main streets — plows up — for hours, while secondary streets remained unplowed.

* Bus routes plowed along main streets, but the streets that they need to use to turn around remaining unplowed, resulting in four buses stuck in the snow for three days, a few blocks away from my home.

* A fully loaded salt spreader tooling back and forth along the main drag in my neighborhood for at least four hours — with the spreader turned off.

Who can say? The DUer who mentioned it said it was clearly an act of vengeance against the citizenry for the union cutbacks. Nobody disagreed, but again, who can know why a snow plow driver would damage and destroy so many cars? One would hope the city will pay the repairs, which would mean even less $ for the unions. Not that the genius thugs are all that good at thinking ahead.

Or should I put down the pipe and step away from the bong?

Where was Bloomberg, I never saw him once when all of this was going on..I watched the blizzard and though back to how fast things got done when there was a republican as Mayor and how fast the salt trucks went out even when the blizzard had not hit yet...The NY Jews will vote the scum back into the position again so NY will end up like California no one to take charge.

Boomberg doesn’t give a rat’s rear end about any borough except Manhattan. Maybe he should start trying to be a mayor of the city instead of banning smoking, trying to eliminate the second amendment, banning salt, banning vehicle traffic in Manhattan, raising tolls astronomically and raising taxes on cigarettes so that a pack of butts cost more than 10 bucks. The people of the city voted him in and deserve getting screwed.

BLOOMBERG: Home-grown, maybe a mentally deranged person or somebody with a political agenda that doesn’t like the health care bill or something. It could be anything.

I think we just found out who is responsible.

If it can be proven that black communities received disproportionately inferior service, I honestly wouldn’t rule out a federal investigation. The odds are not high, but certainly it’s possible. [Unless Holder is too busy dodging GOP subpoenas to do his usual hack job.]

Yes, and the media will follow suit - including the Post, I’m afraid. Everyone for some reason is scared to death of Bloomberg and if he says the fix is in - the fix is in.

We’ve got to stop electing billionaires who only take $1 a year. They may not steal money from taxpayers but they are highly corrupt in their own way. I’ve been down on Bloomberg since he outlawed smoking; I’ve never been proven wrong on how bad this guy is.
