I don’t think Medved and Sean Penn agree on many political issues...But, Medved speaks highly of Penn as an actor...In fact, Medved gave good reviews for some of Penn’s films...

It's apparently not easy for some people (at least as far as I can tell from some threads here) but you have to be able to separate the actor from his goofiness and liberalism. For example, Paul Newman was a longtime favorite of mine. And Tim Robbins has made some of my favorite movies, including Arlington Road and (of course) Shawshank Redemption. And one of my alltime favorite acting performances was this masterpiece (about 5 minutes):

Alec Baldwin

If you like foreign flicks..check out “The Secret in their Eyes” http://www.imdb.com/title/tt1305806/

I liked it...but i also like “The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo” YMMV

Yeah, but most of De Niro’s movies have been about good acting, while most of Ben Stiller’s movies have been about bad acting.

I’m not saying Ben is a bad actor, but that his parts are portrayed as bad actors.

We rented that recently. I watched it separately of the others. I got bored and skipped to the last part. When I tried to discuss the wobbling spinning top with my daughter, she about bit my head off, exclaiming it was discussed all over the ‘net, and she didn’t want to hear about it. In her whole life, I’ve never seen her react to something in that way. I’m wondering now if the ending didn’t really upset her, and this is her way of not dealing with it. The experience was more bizzare than the movie, which, as I said, mostly bored me.

Thanks. If Inception bored you it will bore me. But I’ll give it a shot on DVD or HBO when the opportunity comes around. All that trippy Matrix type stuff impresses the young more than me
