One big commercial for Obama which is really an oxymoron because all of TV fawns over him.

oprah - the typical leftwing hypocrite....

Thru free market capitalism, earned $3 BILLION

Now that she has her wealth, preaches socialism - a proven path to poverty for the serfs.

I would love to ask billionaire Oprah how she feels about the middle class (ie “rich”) Americans who can no longer afford to send their children to college thanks to Obama...or about the lower class citizens who will now die thanks to Obama.

“Is it possible to boycott something you’ve never watched?”

Easier to just say I will never watch. The best thing that could ever happen to cable/satellite TV offerings would be a requirement for a la carte. Then all the crap like MTV, VH1 and now OWN would never survive because people would never order them. There are only a few channels worth paying for and they support the ash and trash of TV land.

Screw TV - ALL of it.

That's the best idea I've heard all year. But seriously, I'm thinking of cancelling my satellite service, even though without it I'd have no TV reception at all.

from the Boston Herald:
O no: Oprah’s cable lineup isn’t must-see TV
Mark A. Perigard
Thursday, December 30, 2010
How does the nation’s most powerful TV star launch a cable network?

By exploiting some of the most mediocre ideas out there, apparently.

Syndicated talk show host Oprah Winfrey transforms the channel Discovery Health into the Oprah Winfrey Network - OWN - Saturday at noon.

Her new programs cover everything from sexual healing to domestic dumps and draw on the Winfrey stable of stars.

“In the Bedroom with Dr. Laura Berman” (Monday at 10 p.m.) is a “Suze Orman Show” for those with intimacy issues.

In the premiere, the sex and relationship therapist travels to Wisconsin to help a couple out of sync after 15 years of marriage. The wife uses a laundry basket to pleasure herself.

The husband complains, “An inanimate object is better than I am.”

The talk becomes much more explicit, if you can imagine, and demonstrates just how much some people will reveal about their private lives in front of a TV camera. I’m not sure anyone in America is old enough for this show.

Workaholic parents face off against their bitter, neglected offspring in “Kidnapped by the Kids” (Saturday at 1 p.m.), a contrived, poorly executed reality series.

I was always ambivalent about Oprah until she succumbed to the liberal race identity syndrome and pimped for Barack Hussein Obama, a socialist politician with very questionable associations, a carefully hidden background and basically no resume - but a lot of alleged ‘charisma’. He was greatly aided by the media fawning over and proselytizing for him with Oprah right in the middle of it. Kissing up to the mixed-race liberal ‘messiah’ and helping him con the American people into electing a man who despises America and is determined to bring it to it’s knees, financially and otherwise, while exercising his totalitarian impulses to control everything we eat, drive, do or say while laughing at our constitution and the congress. No, I definitely won’t be watching Oprah’s cable channel.

Oprah is the type of monster who can build a school in Africa while watching a million American children die from long emergency room waiting times. Hypocritical and inhuman.

I can remember when Oprah was the black, female Jerry Springer.

I liked watching “Trauma: Life in the ER.” I was very disappointed to hear this news yesterday.

Oprah is obama in drag; she puts on a good front, but she is all about black, all the time.

Going cable is going to cost her a lot of viewers, as the economy gets suckier, people will drop the non-essentials first.

I hear she is giving rosie o'donnell another show...that's reason enough to boycott her "network" as it is.

Even the names of it, "OWN", sounds very obamaesque...

Discovery Health was one of my favorite channels, too. I was very upset to hear that she was taking it over.

Procter & Gamble Co. signed an advertising pact valued at more than $100 million with the Oprah Winfrey Network, according to people familiar with the matter, as the television-ad market continues to strengthen.

P&G’s deal with OWN spans three years, following the network’s planned debut next January, the people said. It includes ad time and integrating P&G’s products into some OWN shows, said another person familiar with the deal.
