What’s the news, here? This sounds exactly like a social order created in the mind of a madman in the seventh century, embellished by his own lunatic ravings, and fed by his base urges that included torture, murder, and at least one sham marriage to a child of six.
What I find most astounding about islam is that so many people seem to accept the cult order. I did read a bit of work, a couple days back, that postulated a theory for the continued incivility of the muslims. According to the researchers it springs from the significant percentage of the islamic population that has engaged in consanguinity over the last 1400 years or so. The lowered average IQ, and the increased occurrence of birth defects, stillbirths, etc., statistically correlate to the higher incidence of consanguineous marriage and inbreeding. Interesting stuff.
Doesn’t change a lot, though.

To me a big question has always been why people put up with being enslaved by Islam, whose ultimate beneficiaries are, as the author of this excellent article points out, its clergy, who get to do whatever they want. But Islam (through sharia) is a very all-encompassing system, and somebody born into it is like a citizen of the USSR in the old days - simply brainwashed and too full of inertia to even question it. Those whose cultures are taken over by are afraid of it, because again, as the author points out, it is the religion of viciousness and violence, and those who are converts are probably just plain nuts, people who have severe emotional problems that they are expressing by joining themselves to this hate-filled, violent cult that validates their own personal disturbance.
Not when you consider the source, an "angel" who appeared to Mohammed. When it comes to seduction, the devil is very talented.
And I think of Japan post surrender. “Die in the last cave” fanaticism was turned to meek compliance do to an order from the emperor. Like throwing a switch.
Does Islam have a potential “switch” that has never been tested? I am thinking about Mecca and other unholy sites of the death cult. Two of the five pillars of islam involve physical adoration of the black moon rock in mecca. There can't be “the three pillars of islam” and it carries on, if the kaaba is cratered massively.
“Allahu akbar” doesn't have any meaning if allah couldn't protect the kaaba from obliteration. I wonder if the global umma wouldn't suffer a vast crisis in cult belief. Just total wild guesses, but I think there would be mass conversion to other religions, a mass turn to atheism and nihilism from another segment of the population, and finally some percentage would go wild ass barking mad and go on instant final jihad, like rabid dogs on one final banzai charge.
Obviously that would be a problem, but rabid barking dogs can't reconstitute their religion, if their uber-allah has proven himself to be a fraud, by not being the most powerful god. That's what they pray: “our god is greater.” If mecca is craterized, along with other prized sites, obviously he wasn't greater, and the underpinning of the cult falls away like the trap door on a gallows.
