Dig long enough and just about every Republican has a green skeleton in their closet. Many of them have their last presidential nominee, Arizona Sen. John McCain, a longtime cap-and-trade enthusiast, to thank for it.

"If we go too far and we basically belittle those who believe the air should be cleaner when it comes to carbon pollution, then we risk alienating younger voters," Graham said.

Fool. You're already alienating this young voter.

I heard Norm Coleman on Foxnews today saying that he wants to do something about carbon emissions. At first, I was nonplussed, but then he got specific: He wants to let nuclear power off the leash. And he pointed the finger at the Dems for blocking it. That’s a start, at least.

You won’t find many people speaking up for pollution.

The thing of it is, the modern power plants now put out almost no pollution at all. So what did they do? They moved the bar. Now its not pollution they fret about, since there isn’t any, its “carbon”. Which is to say, plant food. Since everything we ever do emits plant food, the mobsters are going to figure a way to get a payday everytime you do anything that emits CO2. Like breathe.

A few people fell for it, either thanks to the round-the-clock propaganda. And a few fell for it because they were figuring how to get a piece of the action. And a few were smart enough to have never fallen for it (probably they were secret freepers).

This is a happy development for me, it makes it easier to choose who to give money to.

Anyone that supported this or any Obamacare type laws are off my donation list.

From http://abcnews.go.com/Politics/Vote2008/story?id=5778018&page=1

“Do you still believe that global warming is not man made?” Gibson asked Palin.

“I believe that man’s activities certainly can be contributing to the issue of global warming, climate change. Here in Alaska, the only arctic state in our Union, of course, we see the effects of climate change more so than any other area with ice pack melting. Regardless though of the reason for climate change, whether it’s entirely, wholly caused by man’s activities or is part of the cyclical nature of our planet — the warming and the cooling trends — regardless of that, John McCain and I agree that we gotta do something about it and we have to make sure that we’re doing all we can to cut down on pollution.”

An entire contextual quote is usually more informative than a selective one. This is hardly a rousing endorsement of global warming and certainly not one of Gore’s carbon credit scheme or of cap and trade.

Lessee, the PI, a very left wing defunct rag in Seattle, providing a Politico (wholly owned subsidiary of the Washington Post) story.

Clearly their aim is to create unity and satisfaction among conservatives, right ?

And we can believe everything they say, right ?

Does anyone remember where the idea of cap-and-trade came from?

Look into it a little, and I think you might be surprised.

The reason for it is, of course, bogus...but we should be careful about criticizing people for past statements.

Just days after McCain picked her as his running mate, Palin told ABC News...

So you expect her to disagree with the guy that just choose her as his running mate. *facepalm* And what about Drill Baby Drill. That doesn't sound to green to me.

You are so Stuck on McCain you are blinded to reality sometimes.

Even Sarah Palin has a YouTube moment. Just days after McCain picked her as his running mate, Palin told ABC News she believes human activities "certainly can be contributing to the issue of global warming, climate change" and that "we've got to do something about it, and we have to make sure that we're doing all we can to cut down on pollution."

Saint Sarah said that? No way!

Ah, the McCain Monotony just goes on and on...

Perhaps Juan's steadfast alligance to cap-and-trade explains in part why he remains in the Senate. Someone benefits by keeping him there to tout this monstrous assault on true free-market principles.
