Judge Who Ordered Euthanasia of Terri Schiavo Retires
St. Petersburg, FL -- The Florida state judge who allowed the former husband of disabled patient Terri Schiavo to take her life by depriving her of food and water, has retired from the bench.

“What the hell does that have to do with anything?”
Because under Florida law he had a say in her care. Certainly the judge could have removed her from under his influence but he chose not to do that.
My argument is not ridiculous. I stated a fact that the judge made the decision he did because of the request of a person with the right legal status.
I did NOT say I agree with it. It was murder.
A husband requested his wife be killed by depriving her of water. The Judge wrote the order. The hospice carried it out. The county police forces prevented the woman’s own beloved parents and siblings from providing her life care. At direct threat of force.
In the murder of Terri Schindler hundreds are direct accomplices.
You are right, any argument that says “proper process was followed” is ridiculous. Not only ridiculous — it is evil.
Is he retired because FL has a mandatory judicial retirement of age of 70?
Is he now going to work on the forclosure rocket dockets and kick people out of their homes?
This guy is piece of rotting excrement who deserves the same “treatment” that he forced upon Terri. Bob
Just like Pontius Pilate.
There... fixed the title for them.
Terri Schiavo was the first person ordered executed by an American judge without the benefit of a trial by jury which is MANDATED in the Constitution before someone can be put to death.
Greer was nothing more than a probate judge, he had no business being involved in the case to begin with. Terri was murdered by judicial order and Greer, Bush and Crist all have her blood on their hands. At one point Bush had dispatched the state police, but he backed down because he didn't want a confrontation.
Congress dropped the ball too, a subpeona was issued for Terri to appear and they did nothing when Greer wouldn't allow it. Congress had every right to order federal marshalls to take Terri into custody to comply with the subpeona.
There IS a higher law, and it is a tragic quirk of law and fate that the remarried monster Michael Schiavo still had power over Terri’s life. For this Hitleresque creep Greer to have allowed the torture killing OVER the return of Terri to her real family is a human atrocity of the first order. Bob
Used their bully pulpit.
“If the house called America is to stand, she must return to her foundation, and we the people must replace those who constitute the pillars of our government with decent (moral) people who actually believe in and will support and defend God given rights and liberties, NOT erode them through government power grabs.”
Just because its ‘legal’ doesn’t mean its moral or right.
One of Terry’s lawyers spoke at my church. He indicated he witnessed her respond to her parents.
He also described the painful process by which she was killed.
We put people in jail for treating dogs better than she was treated.
“You are right, any argument that says proper process was followed is ridiculous. Not only ridiculous it is evil.”
That is NOT what I said and DAMN you for calling me evil.
Wouldn’t it be nice if the Americans took back our government, and prosecuted all those involved in Terri’s murder?
There was no murder. There was a long drawn out suicide
You seem to be confused. He didn’t order his own extermination. He ordered the murder of someone else. If he denies himself food and water until death, that will be suicide. We haven’t seen him do that. I’d settle for video.
I did not damn you.
If they hadn’t pretended they were going to save her, someone else might have actually saved her.
That would be a sign of moral sanity.
