Posted on 01/03/2011 8:54:02 PM PST by GlockThe Vote
Clear as Day. Trump is a huge Palin fan.
Of course, Trump was a major beneficiary of the bank bailout.
Good for the Donald.
I was watching some of his clips on youtube today about china, opec, obama, manufacturibg, etc and he really gets it.
If you get a chance look em up. His interview with wolf blitzer was great.
But you do know, that Sarah has been a bulldog on rooting out “ol boys”
Maybe Donald thinks he can out trump her,
But maybe, he thinks she is the real deal.
This is good a lot of mainstream non political people hold trump in high regard..most sheep don’t jump on something or someone until people of noteriety start approving it
He has really grown on me the last few years.
I trust Sarah a lot more than Donald.
Perhaps he is just using her as a springboard to launch his campaign.
I sure wanna believe him.
It’s nice he puts his trust in her, but I don’t want government “handling” the economy. That’s how we got into this horrid mess from which the only way out is to take its grubby mits off. I believe Sara would do as much of that as humanly possible. So in a sort of backward way I agree with him.
This is from 2008
There is also a 2 part series from when he was on Greta a few months ago, he really does get it & basically calls out Zero as STUPID!
So what does he have to say now that he has presidential aspirations?
A Trump-Palin ticket.
Seventy five percent of FReepers heads would explode!!
Maybe even eighty percent!!
Trump has shown that he sure knows how to handle money. I trust him on this.
I would love that ticket.
I like Trump, especially how he shut up rosie
Personally, I think the Donald would stand a very good chance of getting elected.
And no matter what, I think one of the most important qualities of a presidential contender is a I-ain’t-gonna-take-any-of-yur-crap!! attitude.
But you have to admit there is a LARGE proportion of FReepers who say “If it isn’t ________, it’s not a TRUE conservative!!!”
Fill in the blanks. Romney, Huckabee, whoever.
And I HATE IT when one person says “Well, you don’t agree with me on EVERY PARTICULAR DETAIL. So you’re just a RINO! Not a true conservative!”
Is it any wonder that we, as a movement, are so fractured?
Face it, the dems will always present a stronger unified opposition, because their basic philosophy s “anything goes”. And as long as they all agree with that, they are united.
We need a hair challenged president.
He is kinda rambling.
Yup. Trump is a patriot and right on the issues that matter most.
I think one of the most important qualities of a presidential contender is a I-aint-gonna-take-any-of-yur-crap!! attitude.
That is important.
im bald. Can I be pres?
I think he would be VERY strong on imports and US manufacturing. I also think he would have alot of insights and ideas on the immigration issue.
But I fear he would trip up on something like abortion, and be banished persona-non-grata on FReerepublic.
Once again, the whole “If you don’t agree with me on EVERYTHING, you’re not a TRUE CONSERVATIVE!!!
Trump talks a lot of smack.
So does T Boone Pickens.
Im not sure they are what America needs.
i shave it
My #1 rule when I judge a candidate is what was their position in their last position of power. I am uninterested in any change of heart that came after they left office. This goes for Romney, Palin, Huckabee, Gingrich etc.
If Palin supported McCain’s economic policies (some of which were decent, some less so), she will have to answer for that. I’m interested in knowing how a candidate has done when the pressure was on, which usually only happens in positions of power.
Well he isn’t big gov’t, a career politician or a people pleaser (you’re fired!) ;) All pluses, IMO.
That is the honest route to go.
I gave my pappy a can of turtle wax for his birthday one year ;)
who is your choice?
You do realize that in this 2008 video Trump put Palin and Crist in the same sentence?
They all do. All the politicians do.
But I kind of have this feeling: If you went to listen to Trump, you would hear him say the things he believed in.
You would not hear him say things that he would say just because they were the kinds of things that particular crowd wanted to hear.
look at your post
replace abortion with slavery and pretend the year in 1860.
you’re kidding, right? How many businesses has he led into failure and bankruptcy? How many billions of dollars has he lost for his investors? This guy excels at taking other people’s money and losing it while somehow managing to retain enough capital to finance his own larger than life image and lifestyle. IMO, he represents the worst of what the Republican party has to offer America, not the best.
easy, clean, neat, and never out of style
I think that is a very wise approach.
We have seen most all of them put their fingers in the air when the chips are down.
Yes. so again , who is your choice?
Palin first. Always. Trump? Meh. I thought he was an Obama supporter?
You cant. Shaving it off is easiest.
No firm choice right now, but I will not support anybody who supported TARP. That rules out about 1/2 to 3/4 of the Republican field.
I am not so sure.
He has the guillianiesque way about him
He voted for mccain.
Sorry, didn’t see your post earlier.
I will vote for vandersloot or oj over bama if forced to in 2012.
He did? Huh. Thanks for the info.
