It is fundamentally unfair the Americans in California who play by the rules have to comply with all of the regulatory and tax burdens California imposes on them while the illegals do not have comply because they work outside the system
Years ago, got a call to fix the powder room floor in a 300 grand house in Brecksville, Ohio. They had hired a couple of mezzicans to remove the lino tile, and install slate. They pulled the commode, pulled up the 1/8” thick lino, and put down the 1/2”+ slate. Looked great. But,,, They reinstalled the cr@pper with the old wax seal, leaving an almost 1/2” gap. Every time the pot was flushed, water, and sewerage, leaked into the plywood floor. The plywood floor turned into a black mold filled, mush. I cut out the floor, and had to call a specialist contractor to get rid of the mold. I then installed new plywood, re-tiled the floor and used the correct wax seal. Total cost to fix the thing was about 5 grand. They paid the mezzicans about 4 hundred bucks. Bwaaaa! They learned their lesson!

The overall quality goes slowly lower. A look at any corner in any building in Mexico will show you where this is going.
Sad-sack liberals are the propgandists, yes. If you want to delve into it, yes I blame every single bastard that hires illegals. In a sane Country we would heavily fine those who employ illegal aliens. Companies that hire them should be fined huge amounts and put on probation. Yes, every one who employs illegal aliens is part of the problem. Apathy is a huge part of the problem as well.
Make all the bastards pay who continue to perpetuate this problem.

For years I maintained a 2 million dollar liability policy, paid worker’s comp, payroll taxes, and kept my California contractor’s license in force. I only hired AMERICAN workers, and trained them to the exacting standards of my trade. I paid my guys well, too.
Over time, our closing ratio dropped more and more, until we got to a point where the legal and ethical business model no longer worked.
Instead of going to the dark side, like so many of our competitors did, we simply failed. I’m now back to being one guy in a truck. I may be self-employed, but I can hardly call what I have, a business any more. It barely even qualifies as a job these days.
Oh? Well that just makes me feel all warm and fuzzy now.
Tell my kids who now live in near-poverty that he was only joking.
Oh, I get sarcasm, alright. I just don't appreciate it much when we're talking about the greatest loss of my entire life.

If the fool had done his job and deported illegals instead of pushing for amnesty then southern California could have begun the long process of freeing itself from the blight of illegals. Instead we now have Obama building on Bush’s vile border policy.

Having lived in southern California since the 1960s I’ve met plenty of ‘Americans’ who like to hire illegals. A lot of them have been recent legal immigrants to America. They have little or no concern about what hiring illegals does to the country. They are simply looking to hire the cheapest labor possible, just like they did back in their home country.

That’s simply not true. They often pile 2 or 3 families into one house to save money. Or they leave the family back in Mexico while they work up here.
If I understand you correctly, slave wages are fine as long as they're paid to legal slaves. If you kicked every last American off the public dole, we'd STILL have an invasion from south of the border, they'd just accept a lower wage than the former welfare recipient.
Illegals moving up the employment chain is only one of the problems from Illegal Immigration. Too bad we didn't do something about it 20 years ago.
