The British Medical Journal on Wednesday accused a disgraced British doctor of committing an "elaborate fraud" by faking data in his studies linking vaccines with autism.
Andrew Wakefield's work convinced thousands of parents that vaccines are dangerous. Such fears have not only caused parents to skip vaccinations for their children, which critics say has led to ongoing outbreaks of measles and mumps, but have forced costly reformulations of many vaccines.

Depends on how invested they are in the belief. You ever see one of those folks who's been taking and swearing by some patent medicine for years, and when it's finally debunked as a hoax, they still continue to swear by it?

Not everyone gets sick from a flu shot. Allergies do not impact all people - nor do they impact, equally those who suffer from allergic reactions. . .Immunities are not equal. While response same in extremes (freezing temperatures freeze), people do not experience/respond 'equally' at same stress temperatures of cold/heat. (Have only too look at how people dress on a frigid day to see that - or a hot day, for that matter.)
As well, the nervous system/immune system of newborns, babies (nor children/adults/elderly for that matter) are not equal. Nor, in many cases, are the vaccines/antidotes given to enhance/protect such. Beyond mind/body variables; the same chemotherapy that might kill one patient; cures another.
Meantime, to appreciate a nexus of health and disease; of biology, human error, conspiracy and truth along with the power of silence, suggest a reading - no matter which side of debate you hold to - Dr. Mary's Monkey/Edward T. Haslam. It IS excruciatingly detailed in it's documentation and is available - with reviews - at 'Amazon.com'.

I saw a couple of articles in the WSJ maybe 5-10 years ago, in the science section, about work being started on variations in individual response -- I remember one was specifically on response to toxins (apparently it's true that "one man's meat is another man's poison"); I think the other had something to do with individual variations in the genome with a view toward tailoring some treatments to individuals. I was cheered -- personally, I don't seem to respond the expected way to lots of things, like some OTC medicines. Haven't heard anything about such work since though! :(
Dr. Wakefield was a one man Climate Research Unit. This underscores the need for absolute intellectual honesty in scientific research and the need for double blind clinical trials in medical research. It also illustrates the dangers of journalistic alarmism. This case should be taught in schools of journalism, medicine and all scientific disiplines.
He did it for money. He was paid by the trial lawyers.

Are you kidding? The kind of people who believe this swill will take this article as proof of an even grander conspiracy than they had suspected. They are impervious to facts and logic.

Flashing forward; perhaps newborns will be genetically identified and vaccines will be administered; modified; by prescribed formulations or 'ranges' - OR - the protocols of clustering of vaccines i.e. the '4 in 1' MO; will have been abandoned and the ages per administering such will be modified as well.
That said; have to say; I do not know; save I am skeptical about current recommendations per vaccines and their introduction by 'time line' and number delivered in a single dose and how they are formulated. . .and this doctor/researcher being discredited does not alter my opinion.
(And yes, 'just in case'. . .do not believe in 'global warming' and do believe there has been a massive conspiracy of 'scientific truth' offered on behalf of this agenda.)
That said; hope this science moves you more quickly to a resolution of your health issues. ;^)
Now I want to see the “autism spectrum” diagnoses debunked as well; this has been applied quite loosely, in order for parents to collect supplemental social security and for schools to collect funds for a “handicapped” child. White welfare hoax...
My son and others I know showed symptoms before the MMR and the continued growth in Autism diagnosys since Thermersol was removed makes it pretty clear the injections were not the problem.
This is Dr. knowingly entered false information into the fund of scientific knowledge he should be tried for the deaths that he knowingly caused.
I’m all for debunking frauds but can someone explain how exactly the vaccinated are harmed by the un-vaccinated. It has always seemed odd to me that so many pro vaccine people are so vehemently angry about it. If the anti vaccine people are wrong aren’t they the ones who pay the price for their belief?
