I happened to be driving when he was sworn in. That is the only time I listen to the radio. I noted the comment that he was not using the Bible but just had his hand on the podium.

The whole problem is that the Republicans allow the mainstream media to set the narrative. There are plenty of responses Boehner could have come up with besides that weak and evasive answer. Like look, we want more evidence from Obama on his Hawaiin birth and if he can’t produce it, he’s in trouble. The Consitution requires it.
The Republican Party are cowards, intimidated by the Democrats and their media agents into doing just what the Dems want on this issue. Hopeless.
And the so called Conservative pundits who likewise bo the Dems bidding on this are betraying us as well.

Anybody who calls Boehner needs to tell him that the HDOH has indirectly confirmed that the “vital records” Fukino referred to in her statement were amended in 2006, which means they are not legally valid.
IOW, Fukino said that she has personally seen the LEGALLY INVALID vital records verifying that Obama was born in Hawaii.
Boehner needs to know that, because legally invalid records don’t prove anything. They have no probative value, and the State of Hawaii does not vouch for any claims on them. So Fukino CANNOT say where Obama was born. According to HRS 338-17 Obama’s BC only ever have any legal value if it is presented as evidence to a judicial or administrative person or body. And in that case, the evidentiary standards would have to be met to determine whether the claims were considered valid.
So - long story short - Boehner needs to know that the HDOH has admitted that what they have for Obama is legally invalid - that the “vital records” on which Fukino based her statement are legally invalid records.
By failing to clarify that when she knew people misunderstood her, she deceived Boehner and other federal officials on a matter of federal jurisdiction, which is a violation of the Federal General False Statement Act.

not a good answer from Boehner. I could have done better without even having to get into Obama specifically.
My answer would have been “I have no idea where Obama was born. This isn’t about Obama. This issue illustrates we need a process that ensures our Presidents and officials meet the requirements specified in the Constitution. There are countless times when private citizens have to produce birth certificates to prove their eligibility. We should ask no less of our Presidents. The fact that Obama has not offered a long form birth certificate to clear up this issue is puzzling to me. But I am more concerned about precedent and the overall process. This is not about Obama... “

Nobody except Barry himself in his book, the leftists themselves by publishing a COLB, and by pointing out two newspaper birth announcements.
All of these claim Barry's father to be Barack Obama (Sr.) thereby providing proof that Barry is NOT and never can be a Natural Born Citizen.
All you have to do is except the leftists word for who Barrys father was, and you have your proof.

Just saw on Fox w/ Shep: Shep interviewed a talking head and this talking head said, “....the heckler in the house was questioning Obama’s naturalized citizenship...” BS I say, the question to be answered is 0dumbo and his NaturalBornStatus and not naturalized.

The other problem is that we, as a party, only control 1/2 of 1/3 of the government. As such, we need to pick and fight our battles wisely. Boehner doesn’t strike me as the kind of guy that goes rushing onto the field of battle like a crazed berserker swinging his axe at everything in his path. I think he’s more likely the sort that pats you on the back during the day and tells you how much he likes your tie and then goes into his office to arrange for his minions to destroy you. Right now, that’s what we need IMO, a hidden fist, not an iron fist. I will judge this congress by it’s outcomes, not its words.

Yep. Like they say, its tough to score points when you’re always playing defense.
Birthers have lost in the Federal courts & the military courts.
But there is an election coming up in 2012. In all 57 (?) states, candidates must meet the requirements to hold office to appear on the ballot.
If only one, or a few states refuse to certify Obama’s eligibility, the Birther cause will have been won.
Note that ONE state, Hawaii, has been accused of hiding info on Obama’s eligibility, therefore blocking Birther's efforts to get at the truth. One state could also end his reelection bid in 2012!
