SANTA CLARA, Calif. -- An illegal immigrant from Mexico has been sentenced to 17 years in prison for the sex attack of a 94-year-old woman in a Northern California nursing home.

A Santa Clara County judge on Thursday sentenced 43-year-old Roberto Recendes, who pleaded guilty to sexual penetration by force and elder abuse for attacking the woman eight years ago at the Palo Alto Commons nursing home.

Several years ago in my state a jailed child molester (youngest was 18 months) underwent involuntary surgery performed by several inmates using the top of a can that had been smuggled out of the prison kitchen. I can sure understand that solution.

Good point. So many of the thugs coming out of the ghettos these days have been raised by their Grandmothers because their own mothers are addicts. So I would assume the current crop in prison think fondly of elderly women.

But I have to wonder what will happen to the next generation of young people who won't have a Grandmother who wasn't a crack whore to raise them.

You are 100% correct. They can not be cured. They must be separated from society or executed. Nothing else works with the exception of chemical casteration or actual casteration. However,once out of jail they will stop taking the drug or inject testosterone and go back to molestation.

It was an assisted living center. It appears it was a burglary of opportunity and he did not work there.

My mother died recently -at home - at that age. Just a mass of wrinkled skin and bones. The idea that anyone could sexually assault a person so aged and helpless and decrepit is horrifying.
