Five Arrests Made In Countywide Shoplifting Thefts

SAN DIEGO - Five illegal immigrants who allegedly shoplifted $300,000 worth of merchandise from San Diego-area Ross Dress for Less stores over the past two years were behind bars Thursday.

William Cruz, 26, Maria Oros, 45, Diana Palazios, 37, Benita Rubio, 46, and Heriberto Tolentino, 42, who all lived in San Marcos, were arrested Wednesday in Encinitas, Sgt. Tom Poulin said.

Two vehicles they were in when they were pulled over were packed with an estimated $6,000 worth of clothes and accessories.

Due to the size of the load, they "could barely sit in the backseat of their cars," and the women had more items stuffed under their shirts and in their bras, according to Poulin.

The thefts began last May, after shoplifters struck at a Ross store at Santee Town Center.

An attempted theft at the same location several weeks later went awry when a security guard sent them fleeing, Poulin said.

"Later that evening, the loss-prevention officer's personal vehicle was vandalized in the store parking lot," the sergeant said. "All four tires had been slashed, and a chemical substance poured on the exterior of the car."

Similar vehicle vandalism crimes also occurred on six other occasions when the burglars were caught in the act, according to investigators.

The retail-larceny spree is believed to have gone on for at least two years, with the bandits striking up to several times per week and getting away with roughly $150,000 worth of goods annually.

You can buy almost anything at a San Diego swap meet, including 15 year old Mexican prostitutes.

from San Diego-area Ross Dress for Less stores

Incredible - seeing as Ross Dress for Less stores typically have shopping carts with 6' poles attached to them so that store employees can track shoppers. IMHO the "treating the customer like a thief" policy didn't work very well for Ross stores in San Diego. The "alleged*" thieves wore the clothes instead. I avoid these stores like the plague - I refuse to be treated like the customers they apparently draw. 6' poles on shopping carts did nothing to stop this crime.

*mandatory liberal/legal verbiage

5 future DNC Candidates.

And given that it’s here in CA , they will become Congressmen or Senators.

Especially noteworthy because the perps had complied a list of employees’ car license plate numbers and had vandalized the car of one employee who caught them stealing and were suspected in several other vandalizations.

They clearly had plans for long shoplifting careers and intended to intimidated employees into not taking action against them.

Our little friends from the South have stolen over $200 million in farm equipment from California’s San Joaquin Valley. There have been massive theft of goods from railroads that pass close to the border with Mexico. Of course, everyone knows that they are taking billions in welfare payments. In short, Mexicans are sacking the wealth of the United States.

Or on eBay, the world’s largest fence. At one point the large majority of Lego sets on eBay were stolen by price-tag swappers, who IIRC, were gypsies.

This is why I buy used or antique items on eBay and not NWT.
