Sometimes criticism comes in the unlikeliest of places.
On Fridays Inside Washington, Newsweek columnist Evan Thomas, once an editor at the magazine with a long track record of having liberal positions (even once having likened President Barack Obama to a deity), noted ...
The health care bill is a disaster, Thomas continued. Were sort of slowly learning its not working. Its interesting theyre implementing it and its not working out at all as people anticipated. Theres all sorts of wildly wrong projections. As its being practiced its failed.

Hell is having a blizzard right now.
If he and the “yes” voters in congress had read the bill and talked to any doctor that I know, he would have seen this coming BEFORE the vote. Repeal it now!
my health insurance premium has skyrocketed and now he says he sees the healthcare bill doesn’t work? so when do I get a congress-ordered refund?
“...so when do I get a congress-ordered refund?”
Don’t hold yer breath. But if you do, do NOT try to see a Doctor. Your rates will go up again.
Is Mr. Thomas still employed by Newsweek? Someone who writes the truth isn’t usually their cup of tea.
It took him how long to realize that a government bureaucracy is not efficient? Amazing how these former Obama water carriers are beginning to drop like flies or come out of the wood work.
Roosevelt’s “Brain Trusters” thought they could centrally plan the entire US economy including setting all prices with only two dozen elite northeastern intellectuals. It is simply astonishing that the leftist zealots and dems never learn. Never.
Evan Thomas’ company sold for $1 last year.
His Newsweak link still exists:
From his latest Newsweek article:
Little lies can add up to one Big Lie. Obama is a socialist! Health reform means death panels! Theyre going to take away your guns! I dont mean to be apocalyptic. I dont think that Big Brother beckons. But the old and weary (and increasingly cowed) mainstream media, of which I have been a charter member for more than 30 years, may not be as successful as it used to be at exposing the sort of distortions that can fuel mindless rage.
His Princeton.edu email does not bounce (yet), but his name is not listed on the staff...
Next week is the last time I'll see them, due to follow up appointments already made.
Thanks for nothing Obama and all democrats who voted for this trash.
Speaking of health care costs, my husband retired last week. If he desires to continue COBRA, it will costs the two of us $964.19 per month. Who can afford that on a retirees income or any other family of middle income means?
I am actually shocked that Evan Thomas admitted this.
How old is he?
The NYTimes needs to carry these comments of Evan Thomas on the front page. Until then, it probably won't appear in local newspapers all over the USA.
nobamacare = stay healthy or die.
We are suppose to get hc from my husbands new job and it’s expensive and then we have the whole pre-existing conditions to contend with for a whole year. If they want to do that then fine but why do we have to pay full price for hc that they won’t even be paying for, for a year.
