Leaked govt memo: Shooter may be linked to hate group

According to a leaked memo obtained by Fox News, the Department of Homeland Security is looking into the possibility that suspected shooter Jared Loughner was linked to a white supremacist group called American Renaissance, or AmRen.
AmRen founder Jared Taylor, however, tells Fox he'd never heard of Loughner and that according to his group's records, Loughner never received AmRen publications. His group's events are all held on the East Coast, he said, far from Loughner's hometown of Tucson.
According to the memo, Loughner "is possibly linked to this group. (through videos posted on his myspace and YouTube account.)" The group is "anti government, anti immigration, anti ZOG (Zionist Occupational Government), anti Semitic," the memo said. (Taylor told Fox his group is not anti-Zionist.)
Both the group's anti-Semitic and anti-immigration leanings would not put Rep. Gabrielle Giffords in its favor. Giffords is the first female Jewish elected representative from Arizona. She also supports comprehensive immigration reform, and was opposed to Arizona's SB1070 law, though she also opposed the Obama administration challenging it in court.

Holy moly,,Giffords office invited Loughner to attend an event in 2007.
He should sue if it isn’t true. They like defaming people and their associations.

Yup, MSM template in full effect. As soon as I heard this story yesterday I was waiting to see how quickly it would be linked to the teaparty.

They already have HuffPo has a big comment picture that claims he is a Free Republic poster I was telling someone about that in another post earlier.

Mark Potok was on Olbermann’s show last night trying to spin this into another James von Brunn story. The SPLC is obviously hoping to cash in on this story.
The bogus AmRen charge won’t hold up to scrutiny. Everyone who knows who the AmRen people are know there is no merit to the charge that they are “anti-ZOG” or promote violence.
That’s ridiculous.
There really are Neo-Nazis out there who post on the internet everyday about fighting “ZOG” and killing Jews and so forth but all those people hate Jared Taylor and AmRen.
Of all the “racist hate groups” out there, AmRen is the last one anyone would ever suspect of promoting violence.

Of course the smear job is also them giving us the implicit threat that they can do this whenever they want and follow up on it if they choose, Chicago style.
