Just when you thought it couldn't get any worse comes news that a Democrat group has used the shooting of Rep. Giffords, judge Roll, and others as a fundraising device. Warner Todd Huston reports on Big Government:

An extreme, left-wing Democrat group calling itself 21st Century Democrats has had the gall to send out an email blast using as a fundraising tool Saturday's criminal shooting of Representative Gabrielle Giffords in Arizona. Judge John Roll and four others were killed in the incident, (snip)

Xian @ #3,,

Here you go.

I found this list at JOM.

Why don’t people who are so intent on blaming things politicians have said for this tragedy ever mention rhetoric from Democrats and liberals including:

President Obama:

“If they bring a knife to the fight, we bring a gun,” Obama said in Philadelphia last night. “Because from what I understand, folks in Philly like a good brawl. I’ve seen Eagles fans.”

And “I need you to go out and talk to your friends and talk to your neighbors. I want you to talk to them whether they are independent or whether they are Republican. I want you to argue with them and get in their face.”

Or John Kerry who said on the Bill Maher show: “I could have gone to 1600 Pennsylvania and killed the real bird with one stone.”

Or Howard Dean “I hate the Republicans and everything they stand for…”

and: “This is a struggle between good and evil and we’re the good?”

and “we need to remember that the enemy here is George Bush, not each other.”

Or Senator Chuck Schumer who called a flight attendant a “bitch.”

Or the Florida Democrats who ran an ad calling for the assassination of Donald Rumsfeld

Or New York State Comptroller Alan Hevesi who called for Senator Schumer to “put a bullet between the president’s eyes?”

Or Jonathan Chait who said “I hate President George W. Bush.”

Or singer Rickie Lee Jones who aid of President Bush “You’re an ignorant, low-class, opportunistic man, both personally and politically, who does everything for political gain and nothing for the wellbeing of the people, and you should not be in office, and the kind of fascism you’re perpetrating on our country we don’t want, and you’re out. We’re done with you. Ffffhgggmm.”

And when asked if she would be willing to take Bush out for the benefit of democracy? “If I say that, I might get arrested when I go back. And I have to go home.” She’s thinking it out carefully. “I guess the question is, would I kill anyone? And the answer is, no. But would I feel sorry if someone killed him? No, I wouldn’t. It would depend on who killed him, I guess.”

Or “The Late Late Show with Craig Kilborn” where they superimposed the words “Snipers Wanted” over an image of Bush delivering his acceptance speech at the Republican convention.

Or Nobel Peace Prize winner Betty Williams who said she could kill President Bush?

Or Randi Rhodes who joked about killing the President?

Or Reverend Wright who called Secretary of State Condoleeza Rice, Condoskeeza [sic] Rice.

Or England’s Charlie Brooker who wrote: “On November 2, the entire civilised world will be praying, praying Bush loses. And Sod’s law dictates he’ll probably win, thereby disproving the existence of God once and for all. The world will endure four more years of idiocy, arrogance and unwarranted bloodshed, with no benevolent deity to watch over and save us. John Wilkes Booth, Lee Harvey Oswald, John Hinckley Jr – where are you now that we need you?”

What I’ve seen the last 24 hours looks like nothing but implicit, Chicago style threats from the Democrat leadership. They’re almost giddy with fantasies of declaring conservatives an imminent threat and sending out troops and rounding every Sarah Palin fan up.

The way the MSM and liberals behaved after Bush beat Gore in 2000 showed their true colors when their side loses a close election. That was the beginning of the angry rhetoric that has only gotten worse and worse ever since.

When Bush beat Fortunate Son John Kerry in 2004, the "lie after lie after lie" mantra began, as well as the filibustering of judicial nominations.

The MSM and liberals went into full political assassination mode in 2006 when the Mark Foley scandal allowed them to parlay the nastiest of innuendo into a strategy to sweep out Republicans and replace them with marginal moderate Democrats in "red" districts. It was a bunch of macaca, but it emboldened them.

The 2008 election of Barack Obama was based on a false narrative of Obama's life story that has angered ordinary Americans as they came to learn that Obama lied his way into the Oval Office in order to nationalize many private industries for the unions.

The 2010 mid-term election threw out the Democrats in an historic wave that was being called a racist plot by the Tea Party.

The MSM and liberals have been buildiing the argument since 2000 that running against Democrats is racist, that campaigning against Democrats is hate speech, and that winning against Democrats is illegitimate.

They tried to indict the Tea Party, but couldn't back up their inciteful rants with facts or video evidence.

It's not surprising that the only people who actually engaged in violence are the angry liberals themselves. This has been escalating since 2000, but it has been the Left that has felt free to operate with no rules and no fear of punishment or reprisals.

Ok, So we know that he did it ( multiple witness), and with out a shadow of doubt that he did it.

Therefore he is guilty.

No trial needed. Once he enters his plea the judge should just sentence him to be hung the next day.

Let them use it, they apparently forgot the backlash they received from the Sen. Paul Wellstone memorial in 2002

The liberals can't reach a new low - just another low.

Recycling the lie that Sarah Palin had crosshairs on her maps intended to be calling for the assassination of members of Congress is sick - even if they had been crosshair symbols that is an obvious lie and of course, they were, in fact, not even crosshairs but surveyor symbols that are used to identify places on a map. This sort of stuff starting flying around immediately upon the tragedy in Arizona - they were not focused on the loss of human life and injured - they immediately started salivating and getting excited over how they could use it to slander conservatives. This is inflammatory conduct on their part, which they use to try to accuse their political opponents of doing what they themselves are actually doing. They have no decency. We must strengthen our resolve to defeat these people. People on the left who bring this sort of destructive rhetoric into our politics are not looking for common ground with conservatives and everyday Americans but looking for any opportunity to engage in vicious slander on those they disagree with and destroy them.

Conservatives did a good job finding out truth about the shooter and making the libs look like hysterical bitches with egg on their faces.

The DU has no less than six stories implying Palin inspired the shooting. Their debauchery is getting sick.

The Sherrif just concluded his news conference by attacking “political hate speech” and “paranoia about how government operates.” he also severely criticized 2nd amendment rights. Caled Arizona “The Tombstone of the United States.”

It was revealed laughner previously was INVITED to an event with Congresswoman Gifford. A real conservative republican I guess. /s

More and more, this is looking to be a ‘Reichstag Fire’ type event. Just look at how the liberals and the media are using it to serve their ends.

We need not go passive, or allow ourselves to be backed into a corner under their waves of propaganda and lecturing. It’s time to man up and circle the wagons!

Anyone expecting Democrats to display good character and decency hasn’t been paying attention for the past twenty years.

Things in DUmmieland are eerie. I frequently go there to do some OPFOR research after a big news event, but I can’t remember seeing them this worked up.

There is the occasional lost post pointing out that the shooter was such a whackjob that trying to assign motivation is meaningless, but the vast majority are either gleeful or outraged calls for this tragedy to be used as a tool to destroy Palin and suppress any conservative voice in the media.

It’s beyond the usual kookiness and solidly in the realm of completely unhinged. If this keeps up, I think you are right, it’s going to make the Wellstone circus seem like a model of decorum.

You can add to that list liberal democrat Alec Baldwin who called for Rep. Henry Hyde and his family to be dragged into the street and shot.
