And had the homosexual nutcase Loughner driven through the crowd in a Prius, would these same Commie Leftists be calling for a ban on hybrids? I think not.

Neither the First Amendment nor the Second are to blame for the shooting. One lone nutcase and apparently an incompetent county sheriff are.

Scouts Out! Cavalry Ho!

Since then, clips such as those allegedly used by suspect Jared Loughner, which contained more than 30 rounds, have been available for purchase without restriction.

To all GFW's - It is not a clip.

According to Eric Holder's DOJ crime statistics, guns are used by law-abiding citizens 2.5 million times each year to prevent violent crimes like murder, rape, carjackings and robberies, without a shot being fired 99% of the time.

Yet more gun control laws! All of the thousands of gun laws on the books have yet to remove a gun from a nut job or criminal.

The tragedy in Tucson requires a ridiculous and futile response from Congress. If someone of Near Eastern extraction were the gunman nothing would be done.

Hopefully the republicans are not dumb enough to go along with this bill. It is staight out of the soviet union, germany in the 1930s, cuber in the 1950s, 60s, 70s, 80s, 90s, and into the 2000s and N korea today, including the muslim countries. They claim guns, pistols kill...no need for human interaction with the weapons.

Whatever they try to pass MUST NOT HAVE ANY EXEMPTIONS!!!!

No LE exemptions, no Government exemptions, no military exemptions! Call your Congressmen and Senators and DEMAND this if they insist on passing something. Let them know we will NOT tolorate exemptions for themselves in a restrictive law!

“Many Democrats in both Houses of Congress – including Congresswoman Giffords – favor broad gun rights ... “

Horse-droppings. Gifford is on the record as being in favor of banning semi-automatic firearms. Incidentally, by definition semi-automatic long arms aren’t “assault rifles.”

“clips” The M-1 Garand used clips but most handguns and semi-auto rifles and carbines use magazines. As usual, where firearms are concerned they have no idea what they’re talking about and don’t understand the terms or even their positions.

But the history of gun control legislation is that it has its best chance after a major firearms-related event.

And so, Speaker of the House John Boehner will simply refuse to let such a bill come to the floor, right?
Right?

The concept of banning hi cap mags is ludicrous.

I've trained with the same instructors who teach at Sig here:

The Repubs are letting (in some cases helping) the Dems to change the subject.

They need to get on with business.
