This is as good as anything I ever heard from Ronald Reagan. Sarah may not be able to overcome her negative press, but that will be our loss.

This one of the best things I have ever read by any politician and proves, once and for all, that she is ready and capable of standing for the office of President of the United States of America.

Sarah does have a full grasp of the underlying concepts in our government and how our Founding Fathers thought.

I beg to differ. I think she transcended her “bad” press with this video. They can attack her personally, but will have a heck of a time attacking the argument. She went to God for guidance in this matter and it shows. She makes me proud.

Now THAT is what a leader looks like. The internet will have to circulate this brilliant speech, because it will be ignored by the Leftist press.

She’s accomplished many positives with this speech:

1. Told the truth and pointed out in a reasoned and serious way where the focus should be.

2. Pre-empted Obama big time.

3. Baited her detractors into even more rabid and virulent criticism, thus pointing out their hypocrisy and further marginalizing them.

Pretty smart cooke.

The leftist press will not be able to resist the bait. They’ll cover it and look like total fools in the process.

Indeed! Her demeanor was so calming and rational.Love it!
My daughter has a left-wing proselytizer teaching geography. Spent class time discussing rhetoric (parroting media) including Rush his song Barack the Magic Negro,O’Reilly and his comments on abortion as “murder” among other things. My daughter said she cried in class on Monday.

Unforunately, not entirely. What they will do is excerpt some lines from the speech and use them to "agree while disagreeing."

Saw it this morning on MSNBC's Morning Joe. The excerpt they selected only included the "blood libel" comment and her taking the press to task, so that they made it appear as though she was guilty of the very thing she was complaining about.

It wasn't until I had read the whole thing that I realized exactly how brilliant and inspiring her speech was.

It will be up to us on the internet to spread the word and share this speech with our friends and relatives.

"Yes, Virginia," It really is that good. :)

Devinitely one for the record books.

Yep. "Blood libel" was all I heard on the radio news today. (Followed by a reminder that she produced a map with "Cross-hairs" on it and GG had expressed concern when it came out.)

Even so, Sarah smacked them--hard and they know it. Inside--they will be reeling from that one for a while.

This past weekend certainly proved it was “bloodthirsty libel” from the LSM/Democratic cabal directed at Sarah, Rush, You....and Me for supporting a conservative agenda and changing the direction of Congress.

AWESOME!!!

That speech was presidential.

The situation is tragic, and the need for the speech saddening. ...and that is precisely ‘it’ - this speech needed to be delivered by a responsible leader, for America and all Americans.

A responsible leader did deliver it: Sarah Palin. In the process, she demonstrated another aspect of her leadership.

I’ve really been hoping she decides to run for president.

My only concern is most of her speeches have a levity about them, a sort of “den mother” humor. It’s not bad, it has a place, but it suggests a limited range.

This was the sort of serious speech I was looking for her to give. The content was great and it set the right tone. It was even-handed and mature, but not in the least condescending.

If she were to give a policy speech, say on healthcare, energy independence, or national security, in this tone with this demeanor, it would blow skeptics away. Likewise, a serious philosophical speech would be a clarion call to conservatives.

I’m hopeful she’ll do just that at an appropriate time.

This was a good message, expertly delivered, and it also reaffirmed my belief she’ll make an excellent president.
