How did he do in his last election? I remember, do you?

I'm sure the MSM will paint any criticism of Mr. Cain as pure racism, right?

You can soon expect the ‘imperfect candidate’ or ‘flawed candidate’ disparagements from the Rove element of the party.

As with Sarah, I like Herman because he seems like one of us - a citizen.

I remember that his last election was before people woke up.

Times have changed.

He had a tea party message before there was even a tea party.

I’ll never forget the news folks in 2004 saying Herman lost because he was too conservative. HA!

And Trump just told Cavuto he’ll decide by June.

Popcorn time.

How about Cain/West?

It’s a win/win. We get a good team in the WH & libtard heads explode.

"Is Herman Cain Mormon?"

Apparently he is Baptist. My bad.

There was an thread earlier today on the possibility of two Mormons in the upcoming elections. When I saw this I jumped to the conclusion that it was the same guy.

I'll have to find out more about Cain, but what I've heard is promising. If he is the real deal, then he could end up being a formidable candidate. I have no doubt that he is far more intelligent than Obama, and would probably kick Obama's scrawny butt in a debate.

I wish we lived in a time and place where a man could be elected POTUS based on his beliefs and the content of his character, rather than having his ticket punched at the right spots along the way.

I'm afraid one of the worst legacies The Dali Obama has left is the electorate will be very apprehensive about electing what to many would qualify as an “unknown”.

Hopefully people will quickly realize that Herman Cain is very well known and knowable.

He has conservatives that have been following him since before his run in 2004, he has an enormous amount of people he has worked with in the business sector, he has over 300,000 people listening to his show every night nationwide, and he has a paper trail of commentary, speeches, books.

He can be known because he has actually DONE things - not just wafted around the way community organizers do.

His resume, life story, etc. is verifiable every step of the way - employment, birth cert, college transcripts, you name it.

Although I love Sarah dearly, I don't think she is electbable at this time, people either love her or hate (jealousy in play here) her. Don't think she'd draw the independant votes needed.

Not sure if you're going to get flamed for that (it's been known to happen around here) but I echo your sentiments.

Sarah is phenomenal, and I think she's in the perfect place right now. She's a king maker, she says what needs to be said, but she's independent.

When the libs go apoplectic and try to blame her for everything, the fact remains, she's a private citizen, accountable to no one.

Unfortunately, in a campaign she'll draw staggering amounts of poisonous vitriol that will put off the mushy middle.

I also like that most of the things he has written he wrote before he was well known, not *because* he suddenly became well known.

I don’t know very much about Cain. But, if he’s as conservative as some folks on FR say he is, it will be good for the dialogue if he enters the fray. I wish him well, and will be watching.

Oh, don't get me wrong, he has an extremely impressive resume, but he'll be unfamiliar to the folks who spend 90% of their free/awake time watching "Dancing With The Millionaires" or "Big Brother Island".

A Republican will never be able to get the Savior Treatment Obama did and it's unlikely anyone will for years to come.
