TUCSON, Ariz. (AP) -- President Barack Obama is at University Medical Center in Tucson to visit Rep. Gabrielle Giffords and her husband, as well as other victims of Saturday's shootings.
Obama and his wife, Michelle, went immediately to the hospital after arriving in Arizona to take part in an evening service for victims of the rampage.

My worst nightmare. I’m in critical condition in the hospital and instead of my make a wish guy Keanu Reeves Barry shows up. That would finish me off. LOL!!
If 2 buses were in the ditch,on fire, one full of Democrat congress critters, the other full of ILLEGALS. And I only had time to save those in one bus.

Damned straight it isn't. It's hard for me to put into words what I'm thinking without sounding terribly callous, but how many of these mass killing rampages have we seen in this country over the years? Do people need reminding of the origin of the phrase "going postal?" The story is virtually identical in every one of these cases. There's nothing unique about the Arizona case.
We're coming up on the 45th anniversary of one example -- one in which the perp did not shoot his victims. On July 14, 1966, Richard Speck killed eight student nurses in one horrific night of slaughter and rape. This is what the first detective on the scene saw as he walked through the house the women shared:
He found Gloria first. She was nude, belly down on the couch and tied with double-knotted bed sheets. He noticed what appeared to be semen between her buttocks and found buttons from her blouse strewn down the stairs. The killer had apparently torn them off her as he pulled her to the living room. Also tossed on the floor was a man’s white t-shirt, size 38-40.Wallenda then checked the upstairs bedroom and found the body of Pamela Wilkening. She had been gagged and stabbed through the heart. Suzanne Farris lay nearby in a pool of blood and a white nurse’s stocking had been twisted around her neck. The detective counted 18 stab wounds to her chest and neck. He studied Mary Ann Jordan next. She had been stabbed three times in the chest and once in the neck.
In the northwest bedroom, he found Nina Schmale with her nightgown pulled up to her breasts and her legs pulled apart. She had also been tied and stabbed and it looked as though her neck might be broken. Valentina Paison was found under a blue cover, lying face down. Her throat had been cut. Tossed carelessly on top of her was the body of Merlita Garguilo, who had been stabbed and strangled.
Wallenda walked out the door and to the right and saw the legs of Patricia Matusek protruding from the bathroom. She was lying on her back with her hands bound behind her. She had been strangled with a piece of the bed sheet, double knotted, and her nightgown had been dragged up over her breasts. Her white panties had been pulled down to expose her pubic hair. Blood-soaked towels were strewn all over the bathroom floor.
Wallenda’s hands were shaking as he left the townhouse. It was the worst crime scene that he had ever witnessed.
Even attacks on members of Congress, while rare, are not unknown. Have we so quickly forgotten the anthrax attacks of September and October 2001?
Can’t blame the muslims or Islam for the fort hood massacre even though thier retoric is off the charts and who doesn’t know they want all Americans dead but we can sure blame the republicans Palen and the teaparty for this.
