Together We Thrive (Organizing for America Campaign Trial Balloon from 2008?)
Organizing for America- BarackObama.com ^ | Feb 2008

Posted on 01/13/2011 4:38:48 PM PST by mnehring

For too long Americans have been set one against the other, it is a side affect of a free market society. How can profits be maximized, how can I get the work done for the lowest possible costs. This continually sets one group against the other, especially in the blue collar sectors of America. It has become a part of the American Business model, whether it was indentured servants, slaves picking cotton, sharecroppers, the industrious people that built the railroads or todays migrant workers. As long as we remain divided, fighting for the scraps that America has to offer it will be one group against the other.

What I see in Obama is a chance for a revolution. A chance for every group to participate and be heard; A chance to live the American dream that has been denied to so many. Together we can and will change the world and return America to the shining beacon of Hope and Prosperity that we were and that we can be again. Only when we work together do we accomplish feats that rival any ever accomplished in the history of mankind. Diversity is our strength, that is what this campaign brings us a promise of. For many this is a scary prospect and thought, getting to know someone different from myself. We all want the same basic things for example a safe place to live, health and a quality education for our kids.

In a previous career, I was the global leader of Diversity for a global fortune 500 corporation, I have studied the affects of diverse groups working together and the results can not be denied. Together we Thrive!!!!!!!!!!!

Somebody needs to photoshop those OFA workers distributing “TOGETHER WE THRIVE” T-Shirts at the Gettysburg Address, Reagan’s Challenger Memorial and Dubya’s 9/11 Bullhorn Speech.

Good catch!!!

isn’t it quite bizarre to theme a MEMORIAL SERVICE with ‘together we thrive’???

What does the tragedy of a multi homicide have to do with ‘together we thrive’???

it’s insane. and inappropriate. and clearly an attempt to turn a somber prayer service into a pep rally.

When everyone emails this around, be sure to include pictures of the t-shirts;

The left is a bunch of sick sobs.

Speaking of angry rhetoric and Organizing for America:

"We're looking for supporters," said DeHaven of Hoover, one of the event's organizers. "We're not looking for a fight. That will come later, when we have an army." -----Source : Obama volunteers: "We're not looking for a fight. OK, you gave me a treasure map reminding me of Plouffe. He and Axelrod run AKPD media which is responsible for the branding of things like the aforementioned Organizing for America, USA Service and Serve.Gov

Guess what. AKPD Media is re-branding Serve.Gov to be Renew America Together. Together seems to be a campaign key word they will be building on for 2012.

Yea, it may be a coincidence, but with this administrations use of planting key words through everything they do (re NLP), I wouldn't be surprised if we are seeing seeds of 2012 branding.

EXCLUSIVE: Univ. of Arizona Reveals Origin of Memorial T-Shirts
http://www.freerepublic.com/focus/news/2656500/posts

FoxNation.com spoke to representatives at University of Arizona BookStores who revealed the vendor they used....”Youth Monument,” a Los Angeles-based company specializing in “the hottest” college brands. “I don’t feel comfortable commenting on the story,” said Nick Ventura when contacted by FoxNation.com. Ventura called himself “a partner” at Youth Movement. When asked if the University of Arizona was a regular client and if there was any contact with the White House or any political group he responded “no comment.”

Searching through CA state records, this company got its first license in California on Oct 21, 2010. I am involved with contract work for universities in Kansas. Anything over $20,000 has to be competitively bid. There are rare exceptions for emergencies, with pre-qualified contractors...but you’d have to have more than a three month history to become pre-qualified.

There is an address listed (21650 OXNARD ST STE 500, WOODLAND HILLS CA 91367); but its a high end office park - I’d say that’s the address of their attorney. A name is listed - Robert Ezra, who I have confirmed is an attorney for Ezra Brutzkus & Gubner LLP.

I found that Ezra gave $500 in 2010 to Bob Shannon, to run for Long Beach City Attorney.

I own a screenprinting/embroidery company in AZ. NO WE DIDN’T PRINT THOSE. But I know the shop that did. A friend owns it. The work was done here in Arizona. They are a contract screenprinter which means that they simply print the art supplied on the shirts supplied and have nothing to do with the use of the items. People trying to track them down are barking up the wrong tree, all you will find is a contract shop that specializes in what we call “hot markets” - Diamondbacks win the World Series and you want 50,000 shirts to give out at the victory parade 12 hours later, they can do it lots of big automatic presses and 24 hour production. The real rat in this story this Los Angeles company with the “no comment”. Who paid for these and whose idea was it? I do work for college bookstores and this is not a college bookstore kind of job. They don’t have a dime to spare and coming up with $60k on two days notice is not within their power.

Even the local city busses were flashing the Together We Thrive slogan on their destination signs all day.
