In discussing a House resolution on Thursday to condemn the shooting in Arizona, Minority Leader Nancy Pelosi referred to the shooting as a "tragic accident."

I was just looking at the text of 0bama’s speech for another phrase he used and came across his reference to the attack as a “tragedy”.

BTW, this “incident” wasn’t a “tragedy”, nor was 9/11.
The proper word is “atrocity”.
Well, cool, since it was a tragic accident there’s no need for any stupid new laws.
Pelosi cannot even remember her own phrase book for Leftists. The Tucson event was a “man caused disaster”.
She may be right. Gabby Giffords was shot by accident. The judge may not have been.
My thoughts to a T, Pelosi was explaining the collateral damage.

Nancy explained that there is no evidence Jared intended to harm anyone. Jared was simply holding the gun at point-blank range as a joke----he was an innocent young man who had ever harmed anyone in his life (sob).
But his trigger finger accidentally got caught on the gun's firing mechanism, and as he struggled to get his finger out, the magazine kept firing and firing, until all those people were dead and injured.
Nancy has seen plenty of "accidental" deaths in San Franciso---so she oughta know (/snix).
Thank you for clarification regarding the term “tragedy.” This word is the most misused and abused in the English language. When using the word “tragedy,” think Hamlet. He was a basically good man with a character flaw. He debated whether or not he would avenge his father’s death. The operative word here is DEBATE. Do you think the mass murderer in Tucson was debating anything? His brain was so screwed up (most likely by extensive drug use), he was totally morally vacuous, obviously impulsive, etc., that he was incapable of debate. I believe he did what he did without ANY moral reservation.
Thus, the term “tragedy” doesn’t apply to 9/11, Hurricane Katrina, earthquakes, other mass murders, devastating blizzards, etc.
Would anyone else like to add to this discussion?
Is is an ‘accident’ that Sheriff Dipstick had numerous chances to charge him so his legal access to firearms would have been prohibited, but didn't do a damned thing?
Is is an ‘accident’ that Sheriff Dipstick had the presence of mind to blame talk radio (he didn't listen to) and Sarah Palin for his focus on Rep. Giffords?
Is it an accident that they once again turn the memorial service into a demoncrat campaign rally?

Thanks...I've had it for awhile, but it doesn't seem to be doing any good. :-( Since we have US Marshals, I wonder if the folks using 'marshal law' think it's somehow related to them, and NOT the same as 'martial law', which they may think only applies to military personnel?
I wish we had a chance to have 'tag paragraphs', so I could also mention that's there's no such words as 'alot', 'alright' or 'heighth' and the word 'probably' is not spelled "prolly". And that even though spell check "corrects" definitaly to defiantly, there is a difference between 'defiantly' and 'definitely'. And-

I was trying to plot out how this cover up will develop. I suspect two things.
1. The bullet that killed the judge will not be found or the ballistics will be “inconclusive”.
2. The shooter will suffer a suicide or a complete mental - no active function - breakdown so he can’t talk. I also suspect someone blew their assignment of killing him on the spot. Most likely due to active citizen involvement or bad timing.

It was an accident that the sheriff knew of his harrassment towards the congresswoman and his others troubles and cleared they way for him to buy a gun and to purchse ammo at Walmart(if you see something say something)Thier house of cards are falling down.
