what if there is an emergency? not everyone lives the hermit life. Grandparents fall, work duties call, brothers or sisters may have a call for help. God forbid a hospital is calling for some extended family member.
Well, I'm no doctor and there's not much I could do about a medical emergency, so I may as well be well-rested before getting bad news like that.
One morning I knew it was close to kick off when I went to the train at 5:00 AM and boarded 1 of 6 cars filled to the gunnels with midgets in blue suits.
My mind soared with the recognition that I was there with the very eagles of the sky, the world's most incredible fighting men ~ the pilots and their experienced commanders who were going to take every single fighter and fighter bomber and stealth craft right to the lair of the enemy and exterminate him.
The day of planning and training had come to an end.
That experience would have been missed if I'd been going in at a more reasonable 7:30 AM.
