Sarah Palin to speak in Nevada (@ "gun-related event")

Sarah Palin will be the keynote speaker at a huge convention of hunters later this month, organizers announced on Friday.

The former vice presidential candidate and possible 2012 presidential hopeful is headed to Safari Club International’s convention later this month in Reno, Nev. - one of the key early presidential primary states.

Organizers made the announcement that Palin would be appearing at the gun-related gathering less than a week after the shooting of Rep. Gabrielle Giffords that badly injured her and left six dead.

Palin is scheduled to keynote the pro-hunting group’s huge annual meeting on Jan. 29 - 20,000 are expected from around the world - with a speech on “her past hunting experiences and how politics affect the current state of hunting and fishing,” according to a Safari Club website. Tickets for the event are already sold out.

I guess the left expected Sarah Palin to denounce guns in addition to "vitriolic rhetoric."

Good. I hope she's the Keynote speaker at the next NRA Convention, and is awarded a musket for speaking.

They will inject it into every single Palin story even though it has nothing connecting her to it. They will not stop any time soon. If ever.

In her obituary in 2089 they will mention the shooting of Rep. Giffords. Bank on it.

You know, they are now going to cover this wall to wall, looking for a gaff. In a funny way, if she pulls a Glenn Beck and turn it into a history lesson on the 2nd Amendment, the Statist will have egg all over their faces. Works for me...

Oh of course..they will milk this story for everything it’s worth. I am glad she will be speaking at this event. The left wants to take away the right to bear arms..this will NOT be allowed to happen..but wait, I thought according to Morning Slob Joe Scarborough, Sarah’s political career is over..yet they are reporting on her attending an event..stupid ass libs, I can read em like the back of my hand

The leftmedia is desperately attempting to use this appearance by Sarah Palin to characterize her as a ‘gun nut’ and infer that her appearance at a hunting-related convention is somehow a bad thing to do because some loon murdered 6 people in Tucson, Arizona last weekend. That is, indeed, a horrible tragedy but it has no real bearing on Sarah Palin, a private citizen, speaking at a convention that is focused on legitimate hunters, not madmen that kill innocent people. That the political left tried, unsuccessfully, to place moral guilt on Sarah Palin (and other outspoken conservatives) for one madman’s act of carnage and that Palin responded with righteous indignation and a majority of Americans also rejected that cynical attempt to play politics with real tragedy must really rankle the left. Good.

Regarding Obama, guns, and all standard-capacity magazines:

He’s coming to take them away, Ha-ha!
He’s coming to take them away!

THAT is what Obama meant by the wildly-cheered code words in his Tucson speech: “We should be willing to challenge old assumptions in order to lessen the prospects of violence in the future.” aka Gun BANS!

Well, if her poiltical career is over, then she finally has something in common with Scarbourough.

Maybe if they put her on FOX and Friends and it immediately sank to last place in the ratings she’d have a 2nd thing in common
http://www.realclearpolitics.com/mediawatch/2010/06/msnbcs_morning_joe_ranks_last.html

Part of this is that there’s too many folks who think that life is only about politics or your political career or your power or being the chairman or the President or whatever. If politics and her political career was the be all end all for her she never would have stepped down as Governor.

She’s already been the Governor of the nation’s largest state and been on a national ticket that received 60,000,000 votes, the 3rd highest total ever. Two things Scarborough will obviously never have any experience with. She’s had plenty of political success. Experienced things most never will and most can only dream of.

And lastly, no interns ever turned up dead in any of her offices. So she has that going for her, as Bill Murray said in Caddyshack.

Hopefully she doesn’t take aim or target any liberals when she fires up the crowd and blast the MSM away with her speech.

Exactly! Thank you..and your 100 percent right about Scarborough, what a destestible little man he is..I have been hearing for years how her “Political career is over” heard the same BS when she resigned as Governor, heard it after the election, and hearing it now..won’t stop them from continuing to bash her because they KNOW her political career is not over, they know she can still beat their false prophet. Can’t wait to see her this Monday on Hannity and again at this event

I can hear the MSM now; how can she do this so soon after she caused so many; to be murdered and wounded in AZ. You can count on it. Pray for Sarah Palin!

Let’s see if NRA’s Wayne La Pierre and Chris Cox go out of their way to be photographed in Nevada with Sarah Palin as they did with Dingy Harry last year. I’ll be waiting for the “special feature” article in “The American Rifleman” with all the photographs of them with Palin.

Oh wait, I will no longer be a NRA member by then.

Let me see....I grew up in MS and of course the schools are a little behind the other states, but January 29 being “...less than a week...” after January 8...that kind of calculation would not have gotten me a very good grade, even in MS....just saying...maybe a typo?.

Sarah Palin is a HUNTRESS. She hunts in order to feed her family with organic meat. She fishes with her husband’s fishing business to feed her family with organic seafood. She is also making a passell of money writing books and making speeches, and more power to her. She’s suffered enough at the hands of the so-called “media” as well as the Republican establishment. So, the best revenge is being happy and making enough money to pay for a good security detail in order to assure her and her family’s safety, plus some of the other goodies that money can provide.

And one has precisely what to do with the other?

Sarah Palin has more courage and integrity in her little finger than a lot of our Republican presidential wannabes who have remained in complete silence following a week of insane attacks against her, Republicans, Tea Partiers, and conservatives. We will remember.
