Yes, it’s a good thing but there were other conservatives in the race who were not properly supported. Just my opinion. I hope Priebus will welcome conservatives in the party and will speak as a conservative as we push toward 2012.

Well, he’s been running the Wisconsin R party that pretty well mirrors the US in terms of Red-Blue split and they not only brought forth Paul Ryan, but just elected a conservative R Governor and kicked Rusty Feingold to the curb. What more do you want?

If he can do the same job on the national level as he did in Wisconsin, everyone will be singing his praises. As it is, he’s the chief fundraiser for the RNC and not chief policy-maker, and the way the R party is going I’m not sure I give a rip who they hire.

I shake my head. We'd have been better off with Steele.

Dan Riehl is a full on Priebus-basher.

Based on what? He's not allowed to criticize Prius? That's baloney. The question is why did the RNC have 6 candidates for the head of the RNC who are closer to Obama than GOP voters?

What more do I want? I want the RNC to defend itself against liberal attacks and to stop apologizing for its conservative principles. I would like to be able to donate to the RNC without feeling my money is being misspent on RINOs.

The TEA party in Wisconsin is what turned the state Red. WisGOP was just along for the ride. Johnson spent a lot of his own money and that made it easier for the party to kick in more cash. Yeah, we dodged a bullet by having some good conservatives ready to take the reins of government.

Me too. He did have some problems where he was pro stimulus and benefiting indirectly or directly from government as an attorney.

So who knows. I am just tired of no conservatives who say they are real conservatives.

I still see no reason to keep throwing good hard earned money after bad with the changing of the liberal riders riding the RNC horse. The further the RNC bolts left the less I could care less about the Republican party apparatus and the liberal candidates they promote for office. I do support conservatives though and most of the TEA party identified candidates. The RNC has become irrelevant IMHO.

[Priebus volunteed] for an organization like the NAACP.

Reince was still in college then. By that kind of simpleton thinking Michele Bachmann and Charles Krauthammer can't possibly be conservatives because they once were liberals, both well into their adult years. How far back do we need to go with these purity tests?

[He] becomes party to an eminent domain lawsuit to take property from a small business on behalf of the government.

That parcel was purchased at a fair price by the City of Milwaukee from a corporation to fix a terrible freeway section. This is exactly the kind of public use our nation's founders intended when they added the Fifth Amendment of the U.S. Constitution.

[He is] linked to the solicitation of government stimulus funding.

I doubt anyone could find a successful attorney anywhere who hasn't do some work with companies involved with stimulus funding given how large a fraction of the economy it is. If anyone really believes there is something wrong with benefiting from stimulus payouts then they should personally boycott driving on any road with improvements funded by stimulus funding. Good luck with that.

By the way, the first TEA party rally in Madison was organized and funded out of his WISGOP office. The petty complaints above show how sad and pathetic the opposition to the RNC has become. Groundless character assassination like this only serves to help the Democrats obtain their objectives.

It’s not that easy to trade horses, though, especially when you have elections every two years.

As far as I’m concerned the RNC can continue to wander aimlessly in the dark forest until they come around to doing what is right or is taken over by the Tea Party. Makes me no difference as I will continue to give my money directly to the candidate of my choosing until such time thus keeping the RNC from squandering my campaign donations on candidates who refuse to do the will of the people if and when elected!
