Maybe he wants some pulled pork for BBQ hash without actually having to, y’know, pull it off the bone.

Weird setup. I’ll buy that it was for hog hunting...either that or he had a particularly valuable crop on that land a few yards downrange.

We've got land owner's ready to use Cluster bombs and Napalm around here, we've even got predator control services that hunt them from Helo’s. They flew the rach next door and took off 142 hogs in one month, didn't even make a dent in them. They were back in full force by the end of the year. I used to carry a 243 rifle with me for coyotes when I'm on the ranch, now I carry a Panther Arm's LR 308, I intend to get as many as I can when ever we meet.

Not using your brain and thinking you just may be doing something illegal is perverted. This set up is illegal in twenty five states, and probably the rest of them in a year. However, the operative word is there has been no charges yet.

Whoa! Get a load of that tacti-cool shotgun!

It's got my old Mossberg beat flat-out.

Well, I'm guessing that the model that our SWAT Friend above is carrying, as equipped,  would likely set you back close to $3K.based on what I'm seeing in the photo.

A properly-used $500. Mossberg will get a criminal dead too, and you'll have that saved $2500 available for spoiling your family with  ;-)

That being said, having the best tool for the job sometimes costs a bit extra ;-)

Do you work for the ATF? If not maybe you should consider a career change because you sound suited for the job. To make sure answer the following multiple choice question.

You and a members of your assault force break into a home with a warrant specifying items that are not illegal to own. You trash the house looking for anything that might send these legal law abiding citizens to jail, while keeping them at literal gun point. After having a nice lunch and throwing your garbage all over the house, you decide you can't find anything. While leaving do you?

A) Apologize for the mess and misunderstanding picking up your lunch garbage.

B) Simply walk away.

C) Stomp a homeowners kitten to death and kick it across the yard while making threats.

D) Burn the house down with the homeowners still inside.

If you answered C you are cut out for a career in the ATF. (If you answered D consider joining the FBI) Don't hesitate, Obama just pointed a anti-gun zealot to head this organization and I'm sure you would have fun running around arresting people and calling them perverts even though no laws were broken.

“The other poster posed the link to the news paper, try reading it.”

You mean the article which indicated the property owner had committed no crime?

Discovery has a special they call “Pig Bomb”. It talks about the population explosion and impact on agriculture. The hog population can double to triple every year.

How do you trespass on your own property? The second article linked to mentions that Mr. Willaims was on his own property. Easements only allow utilities access to your property, it's still your property.

If there were laws broken, as you clearly assert, why wasn't he charged?

IOW... I was right. You are just another gun hater. I suspected it from a couple other threads you've polluted. This pretty much confirms it.

Feral hogs are a nuisance animal. Highly destructive and very invasive. Luckily, some are also pretty tasty and most States with feral hog problems don't have a tag limits.

...and like of personal responsibility...

Yes. I do like personal responsibility. Why don't you? Name the victim. Name the perp. Name the crime. Or STFU.

A piece of 3/4” pipe would do, with the proper firing pin set up.

Since it’s “remote”, safety isn’t that big of an issue.

I’d hate to cruising down the road and run into a 200+lb. Boar while it was in the middle of the road having a tasty meal.
