When my husband was in...he was just retired in 2009...it was at least once a year from what I remember. He was infantry.

but wait, they are pushing for women in the frontline combat units, but exempting gays? which way is it gonna be, guys?

everyone exempted from combat duty means some other poor sucker gets to take his place

Not just HIV, either. Hepatitus B and C, that nasty super staph infection without cure, plus all the other nasty STDs.

....opponents pointed out that allowing homosexuals to serve in the military could create serious morale problems as it would force heterosexual soldiers to live in close quarters with homosexuals who might be attracted to them.

One more time - Homos are already allowed to serve in all branches of the military where they serve on the front lines and, unfortunately, live in close quarters with normal people.

DADT just restricts them from being open, flamboyant and advertising their abnormal perversion.
