In an interview with Al Sharpton on MSNBCs Morning Joe, host Donny Deutsch used Martin Luther King, Jr. day to interject an opinion that Arizona no longer belongs in America. The assertion is that Arizona does not recognize MLK day and therefore should leave the Union. Sharpton, for his part and as a leader, should know that Arizona has recognized MLK day since 1992 and is the only state to pass the holiday by public vote. Aside from misrepresenting Arizonas racial history, MSNBC and Rev. Sharpton are misrepresenting Dr. Kings dream. Arizona is a state that believes in the individual, personal responsibility, and achievement by merit. Each of these are ideals that Martin Luther King, Jr. held dear. This is just another attempt by the left to smear Arizonans and a great number of Americans that are beginning to see that Arizona has gotten a few things right. How about we have the leftist states secede and save us the trouble?
I’ll move to AZ if they do
I second the notion. I’d move there in a heartbeat.
They probably made their viewing audience fight each other with such words.
ALL of the Red states should secede.
Let the Communist have their dumps.
It seem like a violent action to me. Gee! I thought we were all to strive for more civility.
Well...Down on the MSNBC “Animal Farm”, the Marxist commentators live in the farmer's house. Conservatives get the barn. OINK!
Yes and Texas, Oklahoma, all the South and most of the Midwest and mountain states should go with AZ. Illinois and any state north and east of Pennsylvania can stay right where they are. California and the rest of the west coast can stay put too.
Maybe time to move home. Houses selling for good prices up in Anthem and Carefree!
Didn’t Perry of Texas say this a while ago and the left imploded? Hey if they did I would move to AZ.
How bout we throw out the Democrats and rein in the Feds instead.
Those two dimbulbs need to realize AZ is one a few states to actually vote (state-wide) for the MLK Holiday. Most states had it foisted on them by executive order.
Who says it has to be a free day off? That's not a celebration; it's a day off.
Can you swing by my house and pick me up too!
Sharpton, the racist jackass he is, is still a idiot looking to revive and beat his drum....
looks like they are....but of course MSNBC will DO ANYTHING to get 50 viewers.
Sure. I’ll get a bus. I think there will be more
If AZ does, buy as much land as you can.
It will quadruple in value overnight.
what did Donny Deutsch smoke to have burned his brain so badly?
It’s hard to take MLK Day seriously when today’s black “leaders” ignore most of what MLK dreamed about.
Secession has nothing to do with war. Look the word up. It simply means to leave, especially a religion or political organization.
If Arizona secedes, Alabama and Georgia should too.
All the illegal aliens can move to states like Vermont where they love them so much.
who’s Donny Douche?
Do they get to keep Luke AFB?
As usual, the MLK national holiday has been misrepresented by the Democrats and the media, basically, the Left. They portray any opposition to it as racism.
The opposition was not against honoring MLK but against another national holiday for that purpose. A national holiday means closing banks, post offices and all government offices. That is what the unions and the Left wanted.
MLK was just another symbol of deception. It was just one more small step of government interference in our lives and an opportunity to paint us as bad and the Left as good. It is the same thing they do when they say Medicare is for the elderly, welfare is for the poor, unemployment payments are for those who did not win life’s lottery, etc. They use our generosity to subjugate us.
