While neither endorsing or condemning your comment, I think it's fair to point out that a rather sizable portion of their (public employees) paychecks goes to their pension fund, with the expectation of something resembling a reasonable retirement income.

It now appears those in the public sector are facing what those on Social Security are coping with; the deal they were promised for their "golden years" was a raw one.

Please define the term ‘totally pander to’ with more precision. Also, I would prefer not grouping every manner of school in something I am expected to say yes or no to. Please precisely define the exact school or schools we are discussing.

I do not know you, and I am suspicious of people who are here for only a year or two, but I am a little weirded out that some long-term participants seem to think I am wrong for considering each individual as an individual, as opposed to looking at them as a monolithic race — *whatever* programs, however wrongheaded, may exist for them.
