After playing just four games and gaining just 74 yards in the 2010 season, Laurence Maroney had a very, very slim chance to remain an NFL player in 2011. Now it appears the running back has thrown that chance out the window.
Maroney, 25, was arrested in St. Louis on weapons charges, according to KMOV-TV. There are no details just yet, other than that Maroney was in a car with three other men when the vehicle was pulled over by police.

I guess Lawrence will change the “a” in his last name to an “o”.
The 25 Most Dangerous Cities In America
http://www.businessinsider.com/25-most-dangerous-cities-2009-11
St Louis, Mo. took over the top spot from Camden, N.J. The Gateway City was beset with 2,070 violent crimes per 100K and 12,074 property crimes per 100k.
Well, that’s what happens when no one owns up to a gun in a car. Everyone gets locked up.
I was thinking more along the lines of "Maroon-ey", but yours might work better. It's not as if the dummy couldn't have gotten an LTC. Not as hard a concept to grasp as going straight to the hole instead of stutter-stepping until you fall down.
...and that's about all the Pats got out of "Fragile" Fred Taylor,too...
>>>It’s not as if the dummy couldn’t have gotten an LTC.
According to the article, he has a permit for the gun, but the permit was in a wallet that wasn’t on him. He was not arrested for any drugs and he was released without being charged with any offense.
“According to the article...”
Oops, my bad, sounds like a bum rap. I’m in NE, though, and could believe him capable of stupidity after watching him play for the first 4 years of his career
It is legal to have loaded guns in a vehicle in MO.
why?????? idk how people can risk their careers on bonehead things like this.
first thing i’d do if i was him out of college was get my mom and my family a house in a lily white neighborhood and cut ties with everyone i ever knew growing up. make new friends who wear polo shirts and play golf.
That reminds me, whatever happened to Plaxico Burress, anyway? Is he still in jail? still under contract with the NY Giants?
I liked him. He was an exciting runner with break-away speed. I guess this help explains why never seemed to live up to his potential.
I'll take that one.....he get's out in June of this year if he doesnt screw up in there between now and then. The Giants are on the record as saying they may give him another chance but, he is not under contract with them any longer.
Right. That's what they said about Mike Vick. If you can play, those pimps known as "owners" will sign anyone, regardless of their record.
This is a false story of facts. There were no charges filed.
