Some Hispanics disappointed with MS leadership

GULFPORT, MS (WLOX) - Some members of the Hispanic community say Mississippi's proposed immigration reform law is creating fear and anxiety. The state legislature is considering an Arizona style bill that allows police to ask for proof of immigration status.

Opponents say racial profiling and harassment would drive immigrants, both documented and undocumented, from our state. A local business owner talked about what he thinks will happen to Mississippi if the immigrants leave.

When WMEJ LA Mejor hit the airwaves nine months ago, owner Gabriel Bolanos wanted give South Mississippi's Spanish speakers a way to receive community information and to get their voices heard. He says they have plenty to say about Mississippi's proposed immigration bill.

"When we talk about this law, they say how sad that the state government beginning with the governor thinks like that," said Bolanos. "That they treat people like that who only come here to work. It's very bad what the state government is doing. It shows there is still racism to minority ethnic groups especially Hispanics and Blacks."

Bolanos says he believes the bill is being fueled by racism and by misconceptions about Hispanic immigrants taking jobs and not creating jobs.

"Many say they are going to take jobs. It's not that. We are not the Hispanics that came in past years," Bolanos said. "Now Hispanics are in industry, in commerce, in agriculture. Many have bought land. They are not thinking that the food they are putting into their mouths was planted and raised by a Hispanic."

Americans are feeling "fear and anxiety" over having ObamaCare shoved down their throats with the toe of a jackboot so they might as well get used to it if they ever want to be Americans.

This guy said it best.

“That they treat people like that who only come here to work.”

First off, if they came just to work, it would be ok. They come here illegally and expect us to support them, feed their kids, unlimited medical care, in-state or free tuition, pay for their incarceration, pay for the damage done from their felons that rape, steal and drive drunk and kill Americans- none of whih they pay for nor feel any guilt for.

Listening to a "business owner" advising you on what to do about illegals is like listening to a crack addict advise you on what to do about drug abuse. They loves them their slave labor. Just like the Chamber of commerce throws lawyers at every attempt to enforce immigration laws, check status through E-Verify, or enforce sanctions against businesses. They cannot be trusted.

I have watched first hand... after Katrina... how these mexican illegals murder, steel, rape and kill while driving drunk with no license and no insurance... the lady that owned the business next to mine (and her husband) were both killed by an illegal mex... disease, pestilence and death follow them wherever they roam. Get the hell out of my state and my nation... you illegal invading foreign enemies!
