Gordon Brown gave Barack Obama $16,500 (£10,000) worth of gifts during a US visit, in return for a selection of DVDs.

The value of Mr Brown's gifts, a pen and holder made from the wood of an anti-slavery ship, along with two biographies of Winston Churchill, was disclosed by the US State Department on Tuesday. Mr Obama, by comparison, gave him a boxset of 25 classic US films such as Citizen Kane and ET.

The Queen, meanwhile presented Mr Obama with a more modest gift – framed portraits of herself and her husband, worth $775.

Of course Barrack would have liked the gift better if it was a portrait of himself.

Quit your belly aching at least it was not another trillion dollars. Or 500 million to rebuild Afghanistan before we have to blow it up again.

Well, last time, wasn't his gift DVD’s of his speeches?

Totally classless

Not to mention his first act as pres was to send back the bust of Churchill - but then, I'm sure England understands. After all, Muslimes had a visceral hatred of Churchill after his wrote he book that explained just what they're all about - he wrote it over 100 years ago, but the muslimes never forget

What’s worst is that the DVD’s are not compatible with UK system. They are PAL and we are NTSC, also different region codes do not play in the other players.

He gave the DVD of his speeches to the Queen. Which is one of several reasons why he was not invited to the impending royal wedding.

Don’t forget abut the baskets Mooch-hell gave the UN delegation that had a little brass tag that said, ‘Eat this Bitch’. No, actually it said, ‘Made Exclusively for Michelle Obama’. Seriously, it did.

“A special recipe of pickled, hand-picked ingredients from the White House Kitchen Garden, including sun gold tomatoes, okra, cucumbers, chocolate bell peppers, carrots, lemon verbena, and fresh herbs are presented in jars with the First Lady’s signature. The jars are topped with original artwork done by California artists, Michael Cronan and Karin Hibma, who were inspired by a photo of Mrs. Obama tending to the garden with children and a wheelbarrow.

Chamomile seeds were harvested from the White House Kitchen Garden for the first time this year and are being shared by Mrs. Obama. Also included in the gift is an off-white clay Tea Canister hand-made by Virginia potter Catherine White, whose work is inspired by the varied landscapes of nature.

Gifts from the first lady. CAPTIONBy Chuck Kennedy, The White HouseA three-wick soy candle is an original design from the Chesapeake Bay Candle company, based in Rockville, Maryland. The relief on the candle was inspired by a photograph of the frieze, an oak leaf and rose garland, which hangs above the North Portico of the White House. Our national tree and flower, the oak tree and rose, symbolize strength and compassion.

The candle is presented in a custom-made box in a brilliant shade of shimmery sky blue with a silver imprint of The White House on two sides, also designed by Chesapeake Bay Candle. Details on top of the box are taken from the frieze and the lid is secured by a caramel-colored band affixed to a decorative pewter medallion, an exact replica which is a part of the oak and rose garland on the candle.

Each gift is presented inside a one-of-a-kind, hand woven basket made of Maplewood harvested in the Midwest by The Longaberger Company, which is a family-owned and operated American company that has been in business for over 100 years. Each basket is lined with a khaki canvas insert. A nickel tag is affixed to the outside of each bag and engraved with the words, “Made Exclusively for Michelle Obama.”

This is so humiliating and they have to be doing this on purpose. So many countries depend on local agriculture to survive instead of going to an airconditioned grocery store. Mooch-hell acts like she invented the wheel, for cryin’ out loud. Which one of her 100 servants or ass wipers designed the basket? I can pick something up like this at Big Lots for about $19.99. Can this crap even get through Customs and Agriculture? I mean, what do the dignitaries say when it is being confiscated by Ag at the airport? “But Michelle Obama gave it to me. Look at the tag.”

Just so you all know,
Gordon Brown at the time of this gift exchange would have been classified as “legally blind” if he would have allowed his doctors to diagnose him as such.

And this was well known to the Obama White House.

The f’ing Obamas literally gave some shitty DVD movies to a blind man to personally and vulgarly insult his physical disability.

http://www.telegraph.co.uk/news/newstopics/politics/labour/3178318/Gordon-Browns-eyesight-is-causing-concern-among-aides.html

QUOTE:

By Melissa Kite, Deputy Political Editor 1:29PM BST 11 Oct 2008

The Prime Minister’s close friends have revealed that he can only see extremely large print and has needed guidance at public events. There were suggestions that if Mr Brown falls or bumps into something his damaged retina could fail and he would go blind completely.

Mr Brown, who was left blind in one eye after a rugby accident at the age of 16, addressed the problems in an interview when he admitted that he is suffering increasing problems with the other eye and recently had to have a cataract removed.

Appearing stoical, he said he had “enough” sight but admitted: “It does mean when you’re speaking to an audience you automatically tend to correct [which direction to look in] so you’ve got to be careful. If you’re reading something you have to look slightly to the side.”

Damian McBride, Mr Brown’s chief spin doctor until the reshuffle, is quoted as telling the interviewer: ‘His sight isn’t very good.’
