Palinoia, the Destroyer
The Wall Street Journal ^ | JANUARY 19, 2011. | JAMES TARANTO

Why does their hatred of her burn so hot?

Ask them, and they'll most likely tell you: Because she's a moron. But that is obviously false. To be sure, her skills at extemporaneous speaking leave much to be desired. But that can be said of a good many politicians on both sides of the aisle, including George W. Bush, John Kerry and, yes, Barack Obama. And don't get us started on the man who defeated her for the vice presidency.

Recently we were at a party where a woman in her 60s, a self-described feminist, called Palin a "moron" for having encouraged her daughter to carry her child to term and "to marry the sperm donor." Even apart from the gross language, this was a completely irrational thing to say. First, that Palin's values are different in no way reflects on her intelligence.

More important, why is Bristol Palin's decision to carry her child to term any of this lady's business? Those who claim to be champions of privacy and choice need to do some serious soul-searching if they have so much trouble tolerating the private choices of others.

Hold on, there, Shemp. In no way did Clueless Joe "defeat" Sarah for VP. This is not 1804, the one coming in second in votes does not get to be VP.

Biden is VP because O'bama defeated McCain, not because Biden defeated Palin.

At least this feminist was honest about the reason for her contempt. Irrational. But honest. Sarah’s own birth of Trig is a major reason the effete depise her. They cannot comprehend a woman of sound mind and executive capability would choose to bear a retarded child. Why, at the very least she should drop out of public life and stay home with her child - as atonement for her decision.

Nice new word - Palinoid: the thought that somehow, by something (anything) she does, Sarah Palin is interfering with your life, or maybe threatening your livelihood.

I think this obvious pro-life behavior of the Palins REALLY is the root of the hatred.

Whether or not the “lib in question” in the article has had an abortion herself,

she knows that killing both children would have been the choice that she would have preferred if not made.

And she knows that that choice would have been morally inferior.
Libs don’t like light shown on their moral inferiority.

John 3:19
And this is the judgment: the light has come into the world, and people loved the darkness rather than the light because their works were evil.

Interesting read and I would have to agree with some of the assertions about the hatred.

Jealousy? Check

Not knowing her place? Check

Not being polished enough? Check

Pro-life? Check

Likes guns? Check

Not a member of NOW or a pusher of their agenda? Check

Stupid? Well, with what she has done in the last 2 plus years I would find that hard to argue. She has built an amazing brand name and positioned herself for a lot of future success and has done so as a woman acting on her own and not riding a man’s coattails.

Palin is not a member of the CFR or other self-imagined elite group (like most of her Republican detractors are). That makes her a HUGE threat. She is like Reagan in that regard.

She puts the lie to their elitism.
This, to them, is worthy of death.

The other reason feminists hate her is that part of the Feminist Creed is that you cannot make an effort to look attractive if you have brains - that only dim cheerleaders do this, as a way to attract male attention. IF you have brains, then you don’t NEED a man (fish/ bicycle), and you must not stoop to making yourself attractive.

Sarah is beautiful, she’s bright, she’s funny. She takes care of her figure, her hair looks nice, she doesn’t wear those awful Feminist Politician unisex suits — she gets a lot of male attention and she breaks ALL the tenets of the Creed with impunity.

What’s not to hate?

The next time someone tells me they hate Sarah Palin “because she’s stupid”, and lots of people say that, I’m going to accuse them of being bigoted against “special” children. If they “hate” anyone for being stupid then they must hate the mentally challenged, Sheila Jackson Lee, all football players who can’t write their name if it’s not stenciled on their locker, Joe Biden and many others. And I’ll tell them it must be a miserable life having things they hate thrown in their face every day.

What, no mention of the Kinks?

http://www.lyricsfreak.com/k/kinks/destroyer_20078967.html

“Met a girl called Lola and I took her back to my place
Feelin’ guilty, feelin’ scared, hidden cameras everywhere
Stop! Hold on. Stay in control

Girl, I want you here with me
But I’m really not as cool as I’d like to be
‘Cause there’s a red, under my bed
And there’s a little yellow man in my head
And there’s a true blue inside of me
That keeps stoppin’ me, touchin’ ya, watchin’ ya, lovin’ ya

Paranoia, the destroyer.
Paranoia, the destroyer.”

The fact that Palin is so passionately hated by all the right people inclines me to vote for her.

Not only does the “lib in question” have to live with the knowledge that her preference is morally inferior, but that it is also cowardly and...unmaternal. In order to sustain her politics, she must surrender the core of her being. It’s all about pride masking unutterable shame. Her rage is a measure of the struggle required to maintain that facade.

“morally inferior” is rather an understatement of the situation.

We’re talking INFANTICIDE.
They know they’d choose INFANTICIDE in the situations that the Palins have found themselves in.

And the whole point of even BEING a lib is to feel good about yourself as both morally and intellectually superior to others.

This is why Gov. Palin is feared by many—her priorities:

God first, Family second, Service third, and self last.

This is a terrifying combination for those whose priorities are exactly opposite: self first, service second (career, job, etc.), family third, and any kind of god as a talking point.

The majority of Americans at their core were raised with the first set of priorities, that’s about 65% of the population, however, about 35% of those have weakened their commitment to these. Hardcore progressives consider the weakened to be on their side.

My instinct is that when push comes to shove, that 35% will return to what gives them the most feeling of security—God.

In the end, the candidate that reminds people of the safety and peace that comes from God will be the winner. The more this is talked about, the more the progressives will scream, and the clearer it will become that the progressives are actually in the minority.

In reality, the actual hardcore progressives probably only account for about 20% of our population!

They just seem like they are equal in number to conservatives because they are well placed in visual and vocal positions and they work in unison like all good communists do. There is no independent progressive—they must operate as a whole in order to survive.

The RINO’s of the R party really need to stop and think!

The gravy train they have been riding has gone to China **where they helped send it** Left in the dust, America is going to remember her roots, and those who refuse to join in will be lonely.

LOL! At work recently, I asked one of our ultra-libs why she hates Palin so much. Her answer? “Because she’s a moron.” That was all she could say.

Actually Governor Palin is a reflecting pool of liberal pathology.

They see their weakness’s when they compare themselves to her and, like Pavlov’s salivating dags, cannot control their outbursts. It is pure psychological projection.

Those lacking in intelligence will scream “She’s stupid!’

Those lacking in sanity will scream ‘She’s crazy!”

Those lacking in personal achievement will scream “She’s unqualified!”

Those lacking in civility will scream “She’s divisive!”

It’s fun to mention her name and then stand back and watch as they self identify.

For the record, I have one close friend who’s crazy and another who is stupid. What they say reveals more about them than it does governor Palin.
