ACORN whistleblower co-founds 1st black Tea Party movement in Sheila Jackson Lee’s back yard By: MataHarley

Yet another tea party movement forms, and this group will provide more than the usual pride in citizens, standing up against a government they demand be reined in. Why? This tea party movement is made up of those supposed non-existent black Americans. And what gives me yet another smile is that this group is formed right under the nose of Dem Rep. Sheila Jackson Lee, who made news in the past two days demonstrating her lack of Constitutional knowledge when she proclaimed any repeal of O’healthcare was unConstitutional.

Grab the Orville Redenbachers, folks…. this is going to be sheer entertainment.

Co-founder of the newest Texas tea party in Houston is a now familiar name, Anita Moncrief. Ms. Moncrief sprange to the forefront back in late March, 2009, when I posted about her exposé of ACORN, and the deliberate attempts by the NYTs to conceal the Obama-ACORN ties. Curt followed up with his May 18th post and additional updates. If Ms. Moncrief were a liberal Democrat, as she stated she was, during her ACORN working days, she is one no more.

As their mission statement reads, in part:

“To build a strong base of conservative Black entrepreneurs, elected officials and constituents that provide Black conservatives a viable way to express and implement their conservative values politically.”

Co-founder Anita Moncrief says the party is also looking to overcome stereotypes.

“We’re trying to break the stereotype that the tea party is racist,” said Moncrief. [many links at actual website]

I was listening to KLBJ on the way home yesterday, and Ed Clemons was on with Jeff Ward after 6 PM. I heard him saying something to Jeff about a pet story on his show. After Jeff questioned him, he said “Oh, that was on Oprah.” Now I know why Ed is so screwed up.

Our TEA party here in Franklin county, Kansas is an orange pekoe group, though if the meeting is held late at night camomile might be used. But since we are a diverse group some have been known to use the black tea, while other have tried to get green tea into the mix. Oolong is not favored as it is partially fermented and we live in the Bible belt. Berry Zinger is my favorite, but then I’m very very right wing. Being a very refined and anti violent group we all use the little metal tea strainers so that no PETA person can say that any teabags were harmed. At any rate I say; Get out the cups and saucers and let’s party, BYOT!

It’s all I can do to listen to Jeff Ward—although I love it when Suzanna Hupp sometimes subs for him.

That morning crew drives me crazy, so I quit listening to them long ago.

Although I love Lakeway, and it’s a very conservative town, being this close to Austin drives me up the wall some days.

“We’re trying to break the stereotype that the tea party is racist,” said Moncrief.

By creating a separate "Black" Tea Party?

The media is calling us a “black Tea Party” but we are simply a Tea Party set up in a urban minority area. All are welcome. We are also a party of the Texas Tea Party Federation.

Anita MonCrief

OK, that is better

I usually listen to Mark, Ed and SGT Sam. SGT Sam just tears Ed a new one most days. He is such a wimp and starts his “Oh Sam, oh Sam” but Sam just nails him over and over.

I only listen to KLBJ on the way home for their traffic reports every few minutes. That has saved me a lot of time by missing traffic tie ups.

There’s only one downside to being retired that I can see—I’ve never been so busy before—LOL!

That is what I am afraid of too. My wife always has a honey do list for me to do on vacation and weekends. Now, I’ll have a full time honey do list.

I also have about 65 acres near Giddings that needs new fencing. That is going to be a big job. Much of the fence line is full of shrubs and cedar trees.

I don’t know, but we could call in to Lisa’s show on KLBJ. I think she is on every Sunday evening.
