Three men were killed and two others wounded overnight in a house on the south side of Gary in what police believe was a drug-related shooting.
According to police, a man called 911 at 10:40 p.m. from another home nearby, saying he had been shot in the home at 3829 Washington Street.
When police arrived, they found three adult males dead, all apparently from gunshot wounds.
They also found a 4-year-old girl, uninjured and now in protective custody. Police said her father was one of those killed.
About 15 minutes after police arrived at the Washington Street address, they received a report from the Northlake campus of Methodist Hospitals in Gary that a man had come in to be treated for a gunshot wound. He told officials he also was a victim of the shooting.

I think Sarah Palin has a third cousin named Gary. So, it’s her fault.
She went right to its the lone shooter who did it. He is to blame. I was proud of her answer.
Good point. I'll bet the CSI photos will show a crack-house with drugs, paraphenalia, hashish, heroine and the walls covered with Sara Palin posters.
They go together like ABCNNBCBS
No disrespect to you, but is THIS what we've become? When we take pride in someone stating the obvious truth?
Amen Brother, Amen
Palin’s fault! Two of SarahPac’s targets were on Indiana. Obviously, these peaceful drug dealers were driven to murder by them. /sarc
Our local Wal-Mart has failed to charge me for a case of diet Coke, under the cart, at least a half dozen times over the past few years, even though I tell the clerk it's there, any more I check the receipt before leaving the store because it has become embarrassing when I get home, find the undercharge and clip the U.P.C., take it back to the service desk on my next trip and pay for it and hear the praise for my "honesty". It indeed should be the norm, not something praiseworthy.
I didn’t know there was a Amish community in Gary.
