South Carolina Gov. Nikki Haley is facing her first big lawsuit after saying the state would try to keep unions out of the Boeing Inc. plant in North Charleston.

The lawsuit filed Thursday in U.S. District Court in Charleston by the International Association of Machinists and AFL-CIO asked for a court order telling Haley and her director of the Department of Labor, Licensing and Regulation to butt out and remain neutral in matters concerning union activities.

"There's no secret I don't like the unions," Haley said when asked about the litigation. "We are a right-to-work state. I will do everything I can to defend the fact we are a right-to-work state. We are pro-business by nature. I want us to continue to be pro-business. If they don't like what I said, I'm sorry, that's how I feel."

so the union thinks that we the people must remain silent but they can agitate as much as they want to?

What part of “right to work” does the AFL-CIO not understand?

The Governor missed a golden opportunity to keep her mouth shut. Never warn, never threaten, and maintain enough plausible deniable to say “who me?” with a straight face when caught.

Boeing is a traitor to the State of Washington and should be demonized for taking advantage of cheap labor in South Carolina.

This may not have been about Boeing but the desire of the Govenor and the Business Communities desires to continue to attrack business and not become Flint Michigan or other Union strongholds, name your state and city or town around the nation, oh they are so many....

>>”But you don’t have no mandate from nobody that we’re not going to let no labor union exist at Boeing?” Ford asked.

Wow, a quintuple negative. The senator’s grasp of English grammar is breath-taking.

From the aryicle, the well spoken state senator,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,

” state Sen. Robert Ford asked her if she had orders to crack down on labor unions. The Democrat represents the Charleston district where the Boeing plant is being built.

“But you don’t have no mandate from nobody that we’re not going to let no labor union exist at Boeing?” Ford asked.’

>>>Boeing is a traitor to the State of Washington and should be demonized for taking advantage of cheap labor in South Carolina.<<<

So a corporation must always seek and remain in the most expensive labor markets so make lower profits (or go bankrupt) to avoid being a “traitor”?

If the highly paid Boeing workers in Washington State are worth their wages, another corporation or corporations, recognizing what a great bargain they are, will undoubtedly swoop in to hire them.

Do you always look for the highest prices when buy the things you want/need? If not, why do you believe Boeing should?

I was in the union that covered grocery and meatpackers, forgot the name. I was never real impressed, it took a long time to fire very bad workers and one of the worst was a union steward who was untouchable.

The tactics of these groups are by any means necessary. Destroy private property, break legs, and even twist the law with the help of sympothetic judges and lawyers.

Remain neutral? They have no problems using their own buddies in government to try to force-unionize companies. Turnaround is fair play.

Yeah, sure Mr Union Thug.

Unions are now an interconnected part of the DNC Leadership and have more control over everyday American’s lives than EVER and what room do they have to make such demands?

IMO their power today is incredible, and HUGELY increased thru Chairman Obamao’s support, and must be reduced.

Hat’s off to the Gov, keep on fighting so that these devices of Socialism don’t destroy Boeing the way they destroyed Chrysler and GM.

Well, considering their buddy Barry basically awarded GM to them and the NLRB and the US Dept. of Labor is packed with union sycophants pursuing the union agenda, why would it be a problem for the governor of SC to push back?

I had to check to make sure you weren't joking. Wow. Combine and conquer to understand.

Original: But you don’t have no mandate from nobody that we’re not going to let no labor union exist at Boeing?

Step 1: But you have a mandate from nobody that we’re not going to let no labor union exist at Boeing?

Step 2: But you have no mandate that we’re not going to let no labor union exist at Boeing?

Step 3: But you have no mandate that we’re going to let a labor union exist at Boeing?

I wonder if that's what he meant to say.

The Attorney’s General are legal counsel for the Govs. She can direct her Atty Gen to keep the lines straight! That is usually sufficient to defeat the beat!
