Rudy Giuliani: I’ll Be More Likely To Run In 2012 If Sarah Palin Does
Mediaite ^ | 1/21/11 | Alex Alvarez

Rudy Giuliani has already announced that he’s “considering” a run for president in 2012, but, as he tells Piers Morgan in Monday’s episode of Piers Morgan Tonight, he’ll be much more likely to run if Sarah Palin decides to as well.

Giuliani says that running against Palin would position him as a “moderate Republican” in contrast to Palin’s views. Morgan called him the “acceptable face of the Republican party,” to which America’s Mayor replied, “Well. I don’t know if I’m acceptable. The way I got elected as mayor of New York City was not being acceptable. My slogan was ‘You can’t do any worse.””

He adds that he’s learned from his time campaigning in the 2008 primaries and, this time around, will focus his efforts on winning Iowa, New Hampshire and South Carolina.

He’d be skunked in Iowa by Huckabee and/or Palin, and South Carolina will be huge Palin if all things stay as they are. He COULD win New Hampshire, although Romney will poll strong there....

Rudy calls himself a conservative. Shows how bright he is.

Rudy is a Palinista.

He will only run if she does to split the ‘moderate’ vote away from Romney, Daniels and Pawlenty.

Divided they fall. This helps conservative candidates.

You guys need to figure out how politics works. The one with the most votes wins, and if you can get your opponents votes diluted among several candidates, you can win with a smaller plurality.

If Rudy is a Palinista and that is his game plan, you better tell your fellow cultists, they are savaging him.

He will take away enough votes from Romney in NH to allow Governor Palin to win.

He is a stalking horse for Sarah.

This is good news!

OK, fill me in. Why isn’t Palin a conservative? Who do you consider a conservative that might possibly run for prez? Enlighten me, please.

>> I will not hold my nose in 2012 when I vote.

Well, don’t expect the RNC or establishment to hear your message - it gets compensated to lose as far as I’m concerned.

The work should be done today to avoid the necessity of that decision.

They’ll ‘get it’ when the votes come in.

Rudy might find a home somewhere in a Palin administration, who knows?

I love Rudy.

I’m the sole survivor of the April FR massacre.

He saved my hometown.

BUT

I’m solidly for Madame President next time.

Rudy will peel off voters from Romney, not Palin, so go get em Rudy.

Nail. Head. Bang. Let's hope Rudy gets in and stays in for awhile. It's the best thing that could happen to let some of the air out of the Romney Inevitability meme the establishment Republicans and complicit media are trying to force feed us. We must NOT have another McCain version 2.0 primary result this time.

Don't hold your breath. Some people are very effective at throwing grenades, and much less effective at justifying why they do so.

pissant's M.O. is to tirelessly denigrate Palin, typically without citing a reason or explaining which alternative he might prefer.

It's as if his only purpose is to tear down Sarah. All other considerations are secondary...

SO the Drag Queen, Faux Evangelist, Pelosi Loveseat Boy and Olympic Hair are all ready to jump in and suck off a couple thousand votes here, a couple thousand votes there. Just enough to keep any conservative from winning in open primary states, exactly like Icon Juan did. By the time the primaries get to red states the democrats and independents will have thrown the nomination to another Sacrificial Lame.
