In May of 2010, the National Enquirer ran a story claiming President Obama had an affair with his former aide, Vera Baker. They wrote:
A confidential investigation has learned that Obama first became close to gorgeous 35 year-old Vera Baker in 2004 when she worked tirelessly to get him elected to the US Senate, raising millions in campaign contributions.
While Baker has insisted in the past that “nothing happened” between them, reports reveal that top anti-Obama operatives are offering more than $1 million to witnesses to reveal what they know about the alleged hush-hush affair.
Among those being offered money is a limo driver who says in 2004 that he took Vera to a secret hotel rendezvous in a Washington hotel where Obama was staying.
An ENQUIRER reporter has confirmed the limo driver’s account of the secret 2004 rendezvous and has also learned that on-site hotel surveillance video camera footage could provide indisputable evidence to the investigation.
The scandalous tale of the alleged tryst between Barack Obama and Vera Baker has been reported on by numerous gossip columnists and bloggers. However, the mainstream media managed to forgo the temptation to print anything in relation to the matter. To judge whether they based that decision on their loyalty to the president or the merits of the source, one must analyze their behavior in similar instances, with people whom they have a more hostile relationship. So let’s do that, shall we?
Take for instance the ridiculous story the National Enquirer is currently running about Todd Palin supposedly having some “affair” with an Anchorage massage therapist. Given what we know about the Palin family, and their transparency in how they conduct themselves, this story is ludicrous on it’s face. Also, I don’t mean to be rude or anything, but if Todd Palin wanted to cheat on Governor Palin, he most certainly could do better than this. In the words of the governor, “have you seen Todd?” Beyond that, the details of National Enquirer’s spread are marked with big red flags that those of us who are familiar with the antics of the left-wing goons in Alaska, recognize.
For starters, the “source” the National Enquirer cites is “an anonymous blogger from Alaska.” Because everyone knows how credible anonymous bloggers from Alaska are, right? Secondly, the massage therapist (aka, prostitute) listed in the article is named Shailey Tripp… I’m sorry, but that just smacks of Google abuse. It appears as though someone went looking to create trouble, without any accountability, they went digging for dirt by mixing taboo subject matters with various Palin names in the search field. They settled on this troubled lady from Anchorage (a city where police reports and arrest records are available online), added some flare to sell it to the trash tabloid, and BAM! Instant scandal.
Theoretically, the process is supposed to end before the “BAM” part, but in this case it didn’t. So let’s get back to our “mainstream” friends shall we? Why exactly did the New York (“blood on her hands“) Daily News find it necessary to report such gutter gossip? Even worse, why did a Yahoo News political writer pick up the story? I did some extensive research to write this blog, and I can tell you that neither Yahoo News nor the NY Daily News ever published an article about Vera Baker. Not one!
My earlier stated question about what motivated the lamestream media to withhold writing about Obama’s alleged affair with a staffer is irrelevant. It’s actually just an example of the media using discretion in their reporting. A better question is what motivated them to lose that discretion and report on the current trash directed at the Palin family? If they had the ability to see that the source for the Baker story was too dubious to cite, what makes the prostitute story any different? There is a double standard at work here, but it has more to do with the individual political figures at the center of each story, than it does with any shady witnesses.
UPDATE: No where in this post do I suggest President Obama had an actual affair with Vera Baker. This piece is about rumors and the media’s ability to pick and chose which are fit to print. The media did not report the rumors about Vera Baker, and rightly so. We simply wish they would use the same discretionary standard when garbage rumors are started about Governor Palin and her family.

Listen, this thing PALES in comparison to the Larry Sinclair crack using, sexual tryst Obama had—loads of intrigue surrounding it—media dumped all over it, 24/7 to kill the story, discredit the teller.
The chain of events extends to the unsolved murder of gay choir director Donald Young (of Rev Wright’s Trinity United)and his likely affair with Obama.

HillBuzz blog is reporting that someone in the national media is FINALLY interested in Man’s Country in Andersonville.
This has to be cloak-and-dagger for the time being, because though we’ve not been sworn to secrecy on the project, we’re not at liberty to talk in depth about what we did yesterday, which was in response to one of the occasional requests we get from members of the media for background info on stories they’re doing.
Normally, it’s foreign journalists who get in touch with us when they’re in Chicago and want to go to the Southside to see how terrible it is, and talk about how Obama did absolutely jack squat for it as either a state senator or US Senator, and hasn’t used any of his particular brand of unicorn horn magic to improve it (or the black community residing there) since the illustrious Golden Age of Hope and Change began on January 20th, 2009.
But, this time it was a US reporter who wanted information on Man’s Country in Andersonville, which is a place both Obama and Rahm Emanuel frequented in the past. Obama until 2002 or so, and Emanuel through 2008, according to what we’ve been told. We spent a good amount of time on the ground in Uptown, Boystown, Andersonville, and Hyde Park yesterday with this reporter, also telling him everything we knew about Trinity United Church of Christ and the Down-Low Club it operated under Jeremiah Wright’s supervision/matchmaking.
What prompted this sudden interest in stories we’ve been hearing since 2004, when Obama first came onto the national scene, is the fact that at least one national journalist also thinks it’s odd — as we have been repeatedly saying — that The Enquirer, The Globe, and other papers have been so wildly gung-ho about reporting on old Vera Baker affair rumors pertaining to Obama…and how all of this comes on the heels of Kal Penn’s sudden and abrupt expulsion from the White House.
Something is definitely fishy.
Why the sudden need to portray Obama as an insatiably heterosexual stud who just can’t get enough women?
Baker’s a diversionary tactic…designed to cover SOMETHING up…and we think that something is an affair Obama had with Kal Penn, which seems to have ended badly. We also think Penn was mugged not by a street thug in Dupont Circle, but by someone working for either the DNC or Organizing for America (or any number of its umbrella thugs), because Penn’s phone had something in it that would prove some kind of romantic relationship between Obama and a Hollywood actor with zero government experience who was plucked off a TV show unceremoniously and lifted into a high profile made-up position in the White House…so he could be close to Obama in Washington, where Obama wanted him. Wanted in more than one sense.
Until he didn’t want him anymore.
And then someone needed to take his cell phone away, so that any pictures, texts, voicemails, or other interesting its and bitts could be secured by those wishing to protect Obama.
Some day in the future — and it might very well take 50 years, until all of Obama’s cultists are gone and historians start accurately reporting on this man — we believe Eric Massa, Larry Craig, Trent Lott, Mark Foley, James McGreevey, and their like are going to prove to be boring in comparison when all of Obama’s antics pre, during, and post White House days are exposed. It’s only a matter of time. The story will one day be written. We doubt it will be by the reporter we spent the day with yesterday, but who knows.
It certainly can’t hurt to have someone from the dinosaur media poking around. The more the better, in our opinions.

Obama and his chief of staff Rahm Emanuel are lifetime members of the same gay bath house in uptown Chicago, according to informed sources in Chicago’s gay community, as well as veteran political sources in the city.
The bath house, Man’s Country, caters to older white men and it has been in business for some 30 years and is known as one of uptown Chicago’s “grand old bathhouses.” Sources who are familiar with the bath house say that it provides one-year “lifetime” memberships to paying customers and that the club’s computerized files and pre-computer paper files, include membership information for both Obama and Emanuel. The data is as anonymized as possible for confidentiality purposes. However, sources close to “Man’s Country” believe the U.S. Secret Service has purged the computer and filing cabinet files of the membership data on Obama and Emanuel.
Members of Man’s Country are also issued club identification cards. An unnamed source learned that Obama and Emanuel possessed the ID cards, which were required for entry.
Obama began frequenting Man’s Country in the mid-1990s, during the time he transitioned from a lecturer at the University of Chicago Law School to his election as an Illinois State Senator in 1996. Emanuel, reportedly joined Man’s Country after he left the Clinton White House and moved back to Chicago in 1998, joining the investment firm of Wasserstein Perella and maintaining his membership during his 2002 campaign for the U.S. 5th District House seat vacated by Rod Blagojevich, who was elected governor.
Man’s Country appears to be a “one stop shopping” center for gay men. The club’s website advertises steam rooms, “fantasy rooms,” bed rooms, male strippers, adult movies, and lockers.
However, Man’s Country was not the only location for Obama’s predatory gay sex activities. The Chicago gay community is aware that Obama often made contacts with younger men at his famous “pick-up basketball” games. It was at these “pick up” matches where Obama first met Emanuel and a young Democratic campaign worker and senior bank vice president named Alexi Giannoulias. Currently running for Obama’s old U.S. Senate seat now occupied by Roland Burris, Giannoulias successfully ran for Illinois Treasurer in 2006 after being drafted for the run by Chicago’s Democratic machine.

First Michelle and now her?Beer goggles media.
No one believes he had an affair with a woman. But Larry Sinclair’s account of his lost weekend with the married Obama is highly believable and fits the narrative of the gay men from Boystown in Chicago where Obama was well known as a prowling guy on the down low.
