I don’t feel humiliated. I think it is incredibly rude. This man is in our country as a guest.

The song is not just any old song. As Chinese netizens have pointed out, “My Motherland” is the theme song for a famous anti-U.S. movie about the Korean War from 1956, titled “Battle on Shangganling Mountain.”

The movie depicts Chinese troops enduring freezing weather with no food or water and American soldiers using flame throwers and laughing at burning Chinese soldiers. In retaliation, there’s a lot of killing of American troops later in the film.

“Those American folks very much enjoyed it and were totally infatuated with the melody!!! The U.S. is truly stupid!!” wrote a user named You’re In My Memory on Sina’s micro-blogging site. This particular post was re-posted many times.

We’ll be passive to muted in response.

And the Chinese will laugh greatly at our stupidity and helplessness.

And then they’ll look down on us even more because we were so wimpy and compliant so stupidly.

I think China is taking the shots while it can - a jab they can look back upon and chuckle.

I’m curious what the response was to the performance.

First, in all fairness, it's not 0's fault he didn't recognize the tune. 99.99% of Americans would have set politely and listened, and maybe even have enjoyed it, if it was a neat tune.

Second, 0's cluelessness and international groveling gave China the confidence to set up this insult. In a country where the government has such total control as China, a pianist, even a very famous one, would not dare try to pull this off without a nod from the palace.

Third, 0's been trying to break bad as a hard-nose when it comes to China's human rights. China just slapped back. It's kinda like when someone who's priviledged starts to think that he's a real bad boy under the hoop when really he's just been getting a pass because of who he is. Eventually, someone gets tired of being pressed and throws an elbow into his mouth.

Third, there are a lot more Chinese who are proud of the pianist, and of their country, for having poked the U.S., than there are U.S. citizens who are proud of their country and will grow a spine and start making the sacrifices necessary, and demanding action on the part of their representatives, to get the U.S. into an economic and diplomatic position where a country like China wouldn't dare pi$$ on our back.

And that's where the true pity is.

It’s by far not the first time the Chicoms have played an inside joke on a gullible U.S. administration.

When Nixon went to China and the principal souvenirs of that visit were the pandas Ling-Ling and Hsing-Hsing, a rumor had it that the animals’ names were Chinese bathroom slang.

“Mommy, I have to go to the hsing-hsing to do ling-ling!”

Lang Lang lives in New Jersey, and he is truly a sheltered child in a man’s body. Both in Chinese and English language social settings, but especially in English language settings...

He had for years preferred royal blue Lemay bespoke zoot suits on stage. He nows dresses like a professional female office administrator... it’s very weird.

He also is making a good cool 100k+ per performance in the States, ...

he still has family in China, he might have performed a propagandist piece under duress...

The Chinese truly believe they are superior to Americans and were convinced no one in America would notice this. And Americans — as reflected by the MSM — wouldn’t. Did anyone else note the Yale Law School professor who published “Why Chinese Mothers are Superior” in the WSJ just before the visit? They TRULY believe this, just like the Muslims TRULY believe that Americans are as depraved as depicted on TV, and that we are infidels.

The Chinese truly believe they are superior...

The Chinese mainlanders whom I have met are, to a person, the most unabashedly racist human beings I have ever met on the face of this Earth. Especially Han. The things that come out of their mouth, even in politically correct society, would make even an unrepentant klanner or a south boston irishman blush.

wow.

I’m not just getting nostalgic for the Bush years, heck, I’m nostalgic for the Clinton years too.

Maybe even the Carter era.
